She doesn't really know Bebe, nor the families and what's going to happen there shouldn't be any of her business. Also stop lying to your daughter and tell her the truth about the photo! (view spoiler)[ I'm sorry but Mrs. McCullough's hearing was such a bulls*it! There are lots of first generation Americans that don't know their parents language or history of their country but no one cares because they're white, and apparently we're all the same in Europe, but as soon as the baby is of different race it's a huge problem that she won't know her ancestors' culture? I feel so sorry for them, you can tell that McCulloughs really care about the baby... (hide spoiler)]

Overall I liked the story, there were many different plots happening at the same time and I liked working out how did they connect with each other. Also I liked how Izzy became kind of Mia 2.0, left by her family, out in the world by herself... (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15 - (view spoiler)[For a moment I thought Pearl was Mia's second son that some way she did have a first son and gave it to the couple and then have Pearl but it didn't turn out that way. I'm so glad Elena decided to shut down all that, it will be madness if she reveal all that even though she doesn't have the complete story.

Finished - (view spoiler)[I LOVED THIS BOOK! OMG!

I love Mia and Izzy so much, I was so glad Izzy left that house and later Elena really realice everything she lost I also loved the fact that she never met Izzy again. Since this is a open ending I think Izzy reunites again with Mia and Pearl she isn't dumb so I think she figure out some way to reunite again with Mia and Pearl. So many things happens in this book and is so awesome.

Izzy were right about her bothers, Lexi was selfish, Trip was so damn plain and bored to be honest and Moody became so egoist I also liked Bebe got her baby back not in a way I would expected but anyway. Also, Mia is truly amazing she never doubt and never ask her daughter anything she just teaches and left her to make her choices even though what she did was wrong for not being honest with the Reeds she has really parenting skills. First quarter - (view spoiler)[I loved these first 100 pages. It's so interesting to get to know all these characters and the regimented lives they lead in Shaker. Izzy is seen as the family wild child yet she's not the sibling drinking and partying. She does have a rebellious streak but only for good causes. (hide spoiler)]
