 - nearly halfway through and it's alright but not impressed that it's a prequel that falls as the third book in a quartet. Especially since this prequel so far makes no mention of the previous two books.

I've just started Hissing of snakes by Spirit Bliss. Guys, that's book is HUGE. It's 667 pages long. I've read the first one of this companion series, the Shadowworld and that was really good. My friends said that this one is even better so, I'm really looking forward to find out. I love Spirit Bliss, she's such an awesome author and I wish, her Demonic Touch series would be translated to English so more of you can read that masterpiece. If you're curious the Demonic Touch is a paranormal, disturbian, time travel book involving vampires as you've never seen them before.
The story begins in the future where the light of the sun's faded so vampires take the control over the world. Their leader is Casimir, the Bloody-handed who is the cruelest vampire on Earth. A part of the human race lives underground and plans to strike back. The main character, Katie's father invents a time maschine that make that possible to send a warrior back to the mediaval era when Casimir was human and kill him. In an emergency caused by a vampire attack Katie becomes the choosen one and finds herself in way-way back in the past. She pretends to be Casimir's cousin, Roderica to get near to him but as she gets to know Casimir she starts wondering if he was really bad person or he can be saved.

I haven't heard of that book before *goes to find out more* have fun reading! Hope you enjoy the rest of the book! :D
The book is actually very old. I believe it was published back in the late 60's. McCaffrey is known as the "Dragon Queen," for the Dragons of Pern books. My friend loooooves her work, I just never had an opportunity to read any of them. So I hope I like it and I hope you enjoy them as well if you read any of her work in the future.
