I've read Cassie's books as they were published: City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, Clockwork Angel, City of Fallen Angels, Clockwork Prince, City of Lost Souls, Clockwork Princess and City of Heavenly Fire. So I wasn't spoiled of anything, and I've also avoided tumblr while I was reading them. XD

Thanks! I don't know if it's cheating to include books I'm in the middle of now as extras, but I might do that as well.

I'm currently reading 'Love Letters to the Dead' by Ava Dellaira. Enjoying it, but a tad too similar to 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower'.
Yes I love all of Cassandra Clare's books and I can't wait for her next series coming off of city of heavenly fire. What's everyone's favourite books in the mortal instruments series? Mine personally would be city of glass, city of lost souls or city of heavenly fire. Hahahahahhaha I can't choose :P
I'm currently reading 'The Scorch Trials' by James Dashner, and thus far I am loving it almost as much as 'TMR'! :D
I'm currently raeding The Cuckoo's Calling in between studying sessions, I'm only 80 pages in but it's nice so far!
Chloe wrote: "I'm currently reading 'The Scorch Trials' by James Dashner, and thus far I am loving it almost as much as 'TMR'! :D"I finished the scorch trials a few days ago and am dying in agony waiting for the 3rd one to be available at my library. The end leaves you hanging!
Chloe wrote: "I'm currently reading 'The Scorch Trials' by James Dashner, and thus far I am loving it almost as much as 'TMR'! :D"Is it any better compared to the first one? 'Cause... i didn't really like it so I don't know wheter to continue the series or not!
(I'm not sure how to do the 'she wrote' on my tablet, so this may get confusing)Mandy, I am about 10 chapters in so far and I can't put it down! I'm loving this series so much!
And luckily I already have 'The Death Cure' on stand-by for when I'm finished so I can pick it straight up :D
Arianna, personally I loved the first one, (though admittedly the whole 'not really knowing what's going on' aspect bugged me quite a bit), but I also think that the series as a whole is just getting progressively better the further I read on :)

I just got notification from my library that it's in so I'm planning on picking it up first thing tomorrow! Let me know how you like the scorch trials! Enjoy ;)

For me I did really enjoy the first book but I found that the world took a bit of time to get into and their slang took some time a well. I thought the second book was better and that the story's plot got a lot more intriguing since they're not isolated anymore.
I'm in total agreement with Mandy. It took a bit of time and perseverance during the start of the first book to really become immersed in the world.I think once I pushed passed the first 100 pages, it got much easier and I was happily lost in the story! :)
I am currently reading Insurgent by Veronica Roth which I am finding slow going just because I am having difficulties with the main character's transformation since the first book. It's a little reminiscent of the Immortal Series by Alyson Noel. I am also reading Bad Moon Rising by Sherilyn Kenyon which I also find slow going because the last book I read by her only a little while ago has left me with a massive book hangover lol.
And, to try and get out of the slump I seem to be in right now, I am starting All's Fairy in Love and War, a middle grade book from the Avalon Web of Magic series by Rachel Roberts. Its a small book and will hopefully be enough to help me get through my slump.
I'm reading Delirium by Lauren Oliver, it's a re-read because I watched pilot recently so I wanted to remember everything.I just started Half Bad by Sally Green and I also started That Summer by Sarah Dessen as an audiobook.
And I plan to finish all three of these books until booktube-a-thon starts. I have only two and a half days left but I think I can do it.
I'm currently reading Star Trek Deep Space Nine Twist Of Faith. Im waiting for Cinder to come in the mail.... ✋✋
I'm reading Sundays at Tiffany's. I really love the book. I saw the movie a few years ago, but this is the first time I've read the book. I love reading it because I really loved the movie and it's like I'm going back to that time I saw the movie and it's filled with memories. I saw it, at that time, with someone I just got to know, who now is one of my best friends. I really recomend reading it, even though I've only read half the book.Love it!!

You really should go for The Infernal Devices. Before reading I also thought I might dont like it because of the setting but it's not bothering at all. The series is fntastic so go go go :D
I am currently reading The Breach by Patrick Lee. It's an adult apocalyptic book, and I am about a third of the way in. It's really good, did not expect to like it this much! And I am also reading This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen, which I am also really liking, because it's Sarah Dessen, and I like everything that I have read by her.

Currently reading: the warlock, by Michael Scott and Across the Wall' by Garth Nix ^^ Hoping to finish both by tomorrow :D
I'm currently reading Cathedral of the Sea by Ildefonso Falcones and Grave of the Fireflies by Akiyuki Nosaka.
I finally finished War and Peace on Friday :) And today on the train I finished Geist. I really liked both of them. Yees...And now I'm reading Geektastic: Stories from the Nerd Herd, though if I don't finish it today, I'll have to put it on hold because Booktubeathon is about to start! :) For that I will be starting with Legend.

I'm a huge fan of the shadowhunter chronicles, I'm re-reading the entire series and I'm currently reading City of Lost Souls. You can read the first 5 books of TMI without reading TID, but to read CoHF you need to read TID otherwise you'll spoil yourself lol.
Personally I like to read things in a chronological order, so I recommend reading TID first (view spoiler)[ because it is set 130 years before the TMI and it deals with some ancestors of the TMI characters (hide spoiler)] and then TMI, you can understand perfectly TID without having read TMI.
(I'm not sure I mentioned a spoiler but just to be sure I marked it as one lol)
