Celine The Bookish Queen (celinethequeen) I finished Ready Player One yesterday and now I'm reading The One And Only Ivan, which is a children's book about a gorilla named Ivan. It's one of those children's books where it means even more to you if you're not a kid.

Adrienne | 60 comments So I did not participate in reading Ready Player One, or Obsidian. I just had too many books to finish before school started up again. However, my summer reading pile is significantly shorter. I just finished The Magician and The Glass Sentence (eBook). I am not on Maus I and The Final Empire (eBook).

How did you like The Glass Sentence? I really want to read it, the idea about continents shattered through time sounds awesome to me.

I've recently started The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood for another book club. I remember reading first part titled Bridge in high school. It was printed in our text book and I remember me thinking that the writing was gorgeous. I still think it is. I'm quite happy this book got picked.
The other book I've recently started is Grasshopper Jungle by Andrew Smith, because I've heard many people say that this is the weirdest book they've ever read. I'm 30% in and I'm enjoying it so far.

The maps they find are nothing I have ever seen. There are a lot of interesting characters that we get to meet. I am really looking forward to book 2 and 3.

Oooh, that makes me really happy! Because when I first heard of it I was just: "I have to read this", so I'm glad to see that people enjoyed it. I've never heard of a book with a similar concept before. Can't wait to read it. :)
