Royalkitten2000 | 2 comments Ok, first off I'm new here so sorry if I'm doing this wrong or posting this in the wrong place or whatever haha... So I remembered this book that I read a couple years ago that was teen fiction I believe. It was about this normal teenage boy who lived with his divorced mother and they were kinda poor. I don't remember the kid's name but I remember him being tall and lanky. Anyways they moved into a new town, and so the boy had to start school at a new high school. From what I remember he was bullied in school and he met this really rich popular guy named Charlie Goodman or Goodie or something along those lines. Charlie was kind of a delinquent but he was smart and he had good grades I think, but he took the narrator under his wing. Charlie's bad behavior began to rub off on the narrator and he began to become more like Charlie, sneaking out at night and stuff. They're relationship reminded me of Tyler Durden and the narrator's relationship from Fight Club (except they were actually 2 different people lol). I remember at one point they snuck into school at night to change his grades. I think in the end the narrator ends up in jail and I can't remember if Charlie ends up in jail too or if he betrays him and throws him under the bus.
Some other random details:
When the narrator's mom would get stressed out, she would pull out her hair
They set up a bomb in one of the classroom lightbulbs so when someone walked in and turned on the light they bomb went off
I think someone committed suicide and jumped off a building; or maybe they talked him out of it and he didn't jump. I don't remember.
Charlie's dad played tennis
Something about a dog?
Something about a Catholic Church?¿

Sorry I know my description is a train wreck but that's all I can remember and I wanted to include as many details as possible. I can usually remember the books that I read by I can't remember this one and it's killing me. Thank you!!
