Frankenstein's Questions & Answers

We don't see much of her head, do we? I think..."
Yeah the hood was what made me doubt myself. I also have this option if it better qualifies if I'm the one who takes head:

I'm also thinking of taking hands/arms instead, are either of these two ok for that?

Nikki, I like
much better for the head task.
As for hands/arms, someone asked about whether it would be okay to use an animal's paws. I told them that since we're building a humanoid person, that it would be best to use human parts.
looks like doll arms.
will work great.

Perfect :) thanks!

Correct.
Correct.

Not really. I see her almost all her body. Not any specific part.

1 vampire book (for the blood)
But what I am wondering is does the Vampire need to be the MC? Can it be a secondary character?
What if vampires are just in the story but it has a MP Genre of Vampire? Or what about just a 1st page Tag?
I know I can read one no matter, what, but I also read a lot of paranormal with them in the background. So just wanted to check. Sorry if I missed this already answered in the thread someplace.

Thanks Lanelle!
I love this challenge.

That cover will work fine. I'm glad you're liking the challenge. I purposefully designed an easy one for my first team challenge.

That cover is just fine, Jenny.

I wish more of the head was showing. Is it possible to find another cover that shows more of the head?

Fictional is fine.
Fictional is fine.
Erica wrote: "Will

It's not the arms that bother me. It's the hips and a lot of leg. I'm afraid that it won't work.

I've been watching the threads and it looks like a few teams are close to finishing all 21 tasks. I had no idea that you could complete that much in so little time!
The question is - what to do next? I see 3 options.
Option 1 - mission complete, everyone agrees that you're done
Option 2 - build another monster with the same tasks (with or without watts)
Option 3 - build the monster a bride with new tasks that I would create
Talk it over in your teams and let me know what you want to do. (I'll start coming up with the bride tasks just in case.)

I'll get the new tasks posted within the hour. I'm having a hard time deciding which direction to go for the Bride.

The monster bride option sounds fun!
Would we have to finish the monster first or could we start on the bride before then? (Our team has all tasks distributed and I only have one book left to read which I've been holding back on because I don't want to be done yet, but we also have a few slower readers who are still working on their first book for the monster and I don't want to pressure them unnecessarily, but I'd love to have more tasks I could jump on.)

You could work on both creatures at the same time.

No need to apologize, Erica. I want challenges to be comfortable for all kinds of readers.

I've posted the Bride tasks on the main challenge thread if you're curious, or if your team decides to build another monster.

Just want to verify ... we only need a total of 10 books for wattage ...
NOT 10 watts books for Frankenstein and another 10 watts books for his bride. (I hope.)
Book Concierge wrote: "Just want to verify ... we only need a total of 10 books for his bride. (I hope.)"
That's for you and your team to decide. But going by how much most teams read in just 9 days, I think 10 more wattage books in 20 days is doable.

D.G. wrote: "Question about the tasks...you know I was going to ask! Does MC wears a white dress...does that mean in the cover? or just any time that the MC wears a white dress in the book?"
The mc needs to wear a white dress at some point during the story.

Would the book Hidden Figures: The American Dream and the Untold Story of the Black Women Mathematicians Who Helped Win the Space Race qualify for the MC being a genius?
Deb, I don't know anything about the book. I looked for 'genius' in the book using the Amazon search function, and found the term mentioned just once. I think the best person to answer your question is the one who read the book.
(I'm not too good at math, so I consider any 'mathematician' a genius :)

I had anyone who is involved with medicine in mind. So from your list: doctors, nurses, healers, EMTs, veterinarians, and so on.

Someone whose IQ level is 140 or higher. Or someone who would score that high if they lived before the test was invented. Does your evil genius compare to Artemis Fowl? :)

So no to massage therapist? I just happen to have the MC is one...

I read the book, and I don't know if the term "genius" was thrown around. But the ladies were considered so smart that they were allowed to work in NASA and on a space shuttle when Blacks and Women weren't allowed to even be in the building.
That's what makes them so special.
They were solving equations and problems that white men and computers couldn't solve. They were amazing.
so I considered them geniuses and heroes as women of color as well amazing engineers

How very convenient, I've been meaning to read it and it just so happens my team is still missing a book for the genius category!
