Dear god help us if Scott takes over the organization and sorts the groups by color.
Don't feel ashamed if you have a lower reading count. First off, some people don't read at all! We come from all walks of life and wear many hats. Second of all, at the true heart of the challenge, this is to make people flex their reading muscles and read more books!

2013/2014 was my Reading Renaissance... I returned to reading with a vengeance after most of a decade of light reading... high school and college and gaming got in the way... then I got a Kindle... but all I did for about 18 months was read... I didn't even start until late February 2013 and read that much...
Late 2014 I got into audiobooks... then in 2015/2016 I started gaming a bit again and watching TV/movies again... but being able to listen to audiobooks at work, in the car, while exercising, and while gaming, for the most part, keeps my reading from plummeting further... audiobooks are slower than actually reading myself, so I doubt I will see much above 200 again any time soon...

Very impressive numbers btw, here Bill is getting paraded around but there's lots of heavy hitters in this group! My friend who's a lurker here reads 200+ books a year as well.
Audiobooks helped me A LOT with getting more books read. I'm kind of hopeless if my only option is a physical copy these days, because it takes me so long to get through it (this is why I've been reading Riyria for like the last two months, and still haven't started book three haha).

I do audio books occasionally, where does everyone get their audiobooks, Audible?

I use audible, and also the electronic library. Most of the audiobooks I listen to I can usually borrow from the library, with a little bit of a wait if they're popular =].
What is it?
This is a team competition where members read books on their own, towards group challenges, or within buddy reads to earn points for their teams (I'll breakdown the formal point system in a more official thread). Each team will be lead by a MOD in this head-to-head competition to see who will emerge victorious! At the moment, we are looking at a 2018 start for this competition, which will run throughout the year.
What is Required to Participate?
As this is a team challenge, it's 100% dependent on routine participation. New signups require a minimum of 100 group comments to be considered and every participant will have to check in with their team leader periodically to maintain their place on the team.

This part is important -> The 100 comment rule is a base we use to evaluate whether or not someone will be added to a team. Generally, it takes several weeks engaging participation to meet this minimum comment count. If you join the group and try to spam comments just to meet the minimum, your application to join the challenge might pend long enough for us to see you're going to stick around and interact long-term.
How Do I Sign Up?
If you meet the comment requirement, all you need to do is answer the questions below. New signups will be kept on reserve in case of dropouts, but will definitely be added at the end of each competition cycle. We might add new sign ups from here to the end of December 2017, depending on a few factors.
