Sara Nominate one book you would like the group to read for December’s monthly challenge – a book published in 2017.

Post the title and author (please use the add book link for the book title, if possible).

Rules:
One nomination of one book per member. If you post multiple books only the first one will be counted.

You must list the title in your comment in order to count.

The top 6 most nominated books will be added to a poll which will open after the nominations have been closed and counted.

Nominations will close on September 22 (likely sometime in the morning Eastern time).

No other posts in this thread. If you wish to discuss the merits of the books you can do so on the individual prompt thread: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...

Psst, I'm pretty sure that book came out a few years ago...

Lily (joy1) | 61 comments Someone might want to make a nomination from among the books listed here. I believe they were all published in 2017, but anyone making a nomination should check. There are also nonfiction nominations, which can be found in other New Yorker articles or on the National Book Awards site.

Christine H | 496 comments I just read Thornhill and it was really good, also I feel like I need a support group about it.

(Also, it's a super quick read (I finished it in less than 2 hours), so a good one to get a book in under the wire!)

Amy (lakeshorelibrarian) voting for The Hate U Give because everyone should read it. I enjoyed it, and it captures the teen voice and the different sides of the issues very well.
