The July 2014 Endicott book is If I Told You Once by Judy Budnitz - who's reading?

Publisher's Weekly Review

Melanti | 114 comments I have a few extra group reads this month than normal so I started early and read this one last week.

I really liked the first third in Eastern Europe that was more folk/fairy tale based, but once they got to the US that sort of tapered off and went to more generic magical realism. It's still good but I wasn't as enthralled with the US portion of the novel because of it.

Margaret | 49 comments I'm going to pass on this one. It looks interesting, and the library has a copy, but I'm moving this month and don't want an extra book hanging around, particularly one I don't need to misplace!

My Library has it , so I've ordered it. There's not even a cue so I'll be able to start soon hopefully!

Jalilah | 132 comments I finished it this morning. I really liked it. It reminds me somehow of some of the Eastern European stories in American Gods. The 3 women knitting or weaving people's destinies is also there or not? However I thought it was originally Greek mythology, the three fates, and not Russian.
