Hello,

I'm looking for a book I read while in Middle School. It's about a mermaid who goes on land and stays in some sort of hotel with I believe an older couple. She stays in a wheelchair (so she doesn't magically grow legs), and sometimes goes swimming in the sea next to the hotel.

At one point a man finds one of her scales, I believe, and that causes trouble. It ends with the girl leaving on a boat.
