I had a pretty good month last month! My favorite had to be New York to Dallas - it floored me and put me through the wringer and I loved it!! I also loved The Understatement of the Year - I am not generally a fan of YA or NA, but this series is great! My last five star book for August was a reread, in audio this time, of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - love that series. =)All my other books were good too, no clunkers in the bunch!
I had a couple 1-star reads/listens this monthThe Princess Diarist- I wanted to like it, I really did but ehhh
What Wendy Wants - felt like a BFSM sex manual
On my he bright side (since I listened to 90% of it in August I'm counting it) - The Girl You Left Behind is pretty close to a 5 star (I have about an hour to go)
I didn't have any stand-out reads last month, but a few good ones. Twilight and Proposal were nice additions to the Mediator series. And Midwinter Night's Dream and Cocky Client were cute.
Not a bad month!

In August, I started the Heartstriker series which I really liked. I'm definitely planning to read books 3 & 4 this month.
Also re-read
. Now I just need to finish both series. :)
Ahhh ... August! The best thing about August, heading towards cooler weather. I'm ready for scarves and gloves and boots, oh my! My favorites last month were Fourth Grave Beneath My Feet, The Hideaway, Allie and Bea, The Collector and Keeping the Moon.
I adore the Charley Davidson series and am looking forward to reading Fifth Grave ... and, I had never experienced Sarah Dessen before until last month. Keeping the Moon was fun and funny. Glad I picked it up.
My worst book was The Memory Box. Such a strange book, train wreck type strange. Can't look away strange! Really wish I had looked away. I'm still unclear on this one!!
The others I read were ok to good. All in all, a good month. ;)

I know I can get so focused on what is next that I forget about all the wonderful books I read for the previous month's challenges! Well, Labor Day weekend is upon us - summer is officially over! (At least for those of use in the northern hemisphere, specifically the US.) And typically for SoCal this time of year, we are having an insane heat wave! Not quite the Santa Anas I talked about int he PIFM challenge, but way too hot for my tastes! Personally, I'm dreaming of winter! Between the heat in the west and storms in the Gulf, please tell me someone is starting to get some fall weather! I long to curl up by the fire with a book and a cup of tea...
