If you think about it, as I can`t stop talking about the queen of Hearts, the cards are hidden in his jacket. Can we take it as a metaphore of: I have more tricks in my sleeve. Like the Queen of Hearts may not be evil. She may save Jeb`s ass or something!

Hmm, isn't it the same spider that is sitting on Morph's hat? Maybe it's a..."
There are also dragonflys on all the covers. Near their faces.

Completely agree with that one!

The novella didn't help any. If possible, his POV made it look even worse. I'll reply about the sacrifice a bit later, with quotes, to make my point clear.
Regarding this! But if you weren't serious thats okay lol.

I can see that. That's often how it goes in Greek mythology. Or course, I've also seen a prophecy in one tv series that didn't end up happening, so I suppose it depends on what type of series this is. Of course that prophecy wasn't a very nice one, unlike this one.

Well, good for you. I prefer those sort of comparisons.

I've explained the concepts of both shipping and fandoms to my Grandma.

Actually, I think the Red symbolizes the Queen of Hearts, since he has a heart over his eye and the pupils of his eyes look like hearts.

Quite possibly. I like the idea of the cards being a metaphor for having tricks up your sleeve, and Anita did say that the Queen of hearts has a reason for being the way she is.

Sorry, I don't know how to make the spoiler brackets on the GR app. The biggest point for Jeb that I can think of right away is that he was willing ..."
Well, I kinda understand why Jeb did what he did. I went back to that part of Splintered just to check, and he had no way of knowing the Red King would have been willing to carry out the sacrifice instead. He could have well thought that if he didn't, the White Queen would never get free and be able to warn Alyssa of the true nature of Morpheus' plans. Plus, if Jeb's reaction to when he figured out what Alyssa was going to do is any indication, he didn't want Alyssa to use her wish on him.

We get to see Alyssa gradually accepting her netherling side, her powers and her queenly status. We watch her feelings for Morpheus evolve from attraction to love in the span of two books. It is apparent that they are meant to be together, because they fit each other so perfectly in every way. Once Alyssa lets go of her humanity, she will no longer need the feeling of stability and security that Jeb brings.
Yes, Alyssa loves both Morpheus and Jeb. It will be a hard choice for her to make. In the end, she will choose not who she loves most, but what kind of love she needs most. Jeb makes her feel safe, while Morpheus makes her feel free.
So if she stays Queen, there is no doubt in my mind who she will choose. And logically, she shouldn't leave Wonderland. You see, she already turned her back on her kingdom once, she just can't do it another time. Because it would be pointless and kind of nullify all character development she had. Once she is the last queen standing, there will be no one else to rule. She will stay and fulfill her destiny. That is the only way that I find natural and organic.

You never fail to make me laugh :D I'm not sure, but we can make our own rules, right?
"I still believe that Jeb WILL END UP WITH GOSSAMER, because they pretty much liked each other in Splinterd...like...she offered him her "services". And that leads me to another question:
HOW THE HECK DOES ONE HAVE SEX WITH A 20 CENTIMETRE FAE?"
ROFL. I was wondering about that too while reading Splintered.
@ Katie: I will reply to your comment about the sacrifice later, okay? I remember my promises, but right now I just can't bring myself to write long posts about Jeb. It's enough that I spent the last two evenings doing research on his playlist. It is quite an accomplishment for me to read and analyze 60 (!) lyrics for a character I hate.

Yeah, pretty much, but I'm pleased with the results ;)

About that (from Jeb's playlist) "White Rabbit":
Your magic white rabbit
Has left it's writing on the wall
We follow like Alice
And just keep diving down the hole
You can't fix your broken promise
Our ties have come undone
I will not be used to be battered and abused
It's the reason why I choose to cut my losses
Your lies fool no one
Your magic white rabbit
Your white room straight jacket
You can't offer your poison to me
In your kingdom of filth
Now, I know we can't take every text literally, but I found the excerpt kind of fitting.

Yup. More a plot device than a character. He is just there to ground Alyssa to her humanity. Best parts of the book come when he was either absent or rendered unconscious. I pretty much can quote Morph here:
«Morpheus purses his lips. “Hmm. Have Jebediah mooning over you in a half-awake dream state, or have him unconscious and drooling. What do they call that here? A no-brainer.»

Bonus points for Morph quote- you're absolutely right.

She doesn't need to let go of her humanity. I figured that the books are kind showing how both of her sides can work together, not that she needs to choose one or the other. Also, I think that even if she acts as Queen of Wonderland, I still think she'll visit the human world from time to time.

You never fail to make me laugh :D I'm not sure, but we can make our own rule..."
oh, ok.

In the end of Unhinged Alyssa said that she no more has two sides. She`s now one united being. My absolutely perfect future for her is she, ending with Morpheus in Wonderland and coming to visit her family in the human world via mirror every now and then.

I totally agree. The book is about her two sides, and showing that they don't necessarily cancel each other out, but can also compliment each other.

*not reading the spoiler, because I haven't even finished the Mortal Instruments series yet, much less read the Infernal Devices series.*

I read the manga of some part of the first book.... It was good, but then I saw the real book...
(its the size of a bus)

Yet it's one of my most favourite books ever!

Yeah, I'm probably going to find the rest of the manga version and read it, it started really well :3

Well, in my opinion, the bigger books are usually the better ones. :)

I don't remember, correct me if Im wrong, but I think it's more of a comic book for TMI!
For The Infernal devices however, there is a Manga! :)
They are the prettiest!

I Think Jeb is The Son of The *Red* Queen"
wait...... how?! i want to hear this theory!

LOL, WHAT?!? That's hands down the craziest theory I've heard so far. How that would even be possible?
And no, the author said that Morpheus is the ONLY one who can have this child with Alyssa.

Oh my Gods! That would be... Perfect! The whole Jeb and Alyssa relationship would HAVE to end because, hello, INCEST! ... Of a sort.

I have to admit that this is very interesting. But I would like Alyssa to actually to choose than comfortably to be split so both teams are happy.

I read this and just started LOLing so hard."

Although I don't even want to talk abut how Morpheus would react to this. "What?! Of course bigger is better! I can prove it, here c'mere look at my...wings." *slaps in face with wingspan*

So I recommend anything that comes to your mind.
I'll name a few.
Funtimes in Morpheus' car (because you know you want to
Lemon tea
Rock climbing (I'm being serious, I was going to write something for that XP)
Morpheus finds a wish/Jeb finds a wish
Cats
A haircut (either good or bad)
Photos
Slenderman
How's that? :3
