You chose for me, so now I have the pleasure of choosing for you. You have a lot on your TBR list, so that was easy enough finding those books. Finding new ones was a bit more difficult. Hopefully you like the suggestions and find something good to read.

Is it hot in here?
TBR - Midnight Man - Nearly naked man (ooh la la)
New - Heat Exchange - Nearly naked man (He's also nearly naked, whoo hoo!)
Midnight Man (Midnight, #1) by Lisa Marie Rice Heat Exchange (Boston Fire, #1) by Shannon Stacey

Time to head to the beach!
TBR - Into the Water or The Identicals (water on the cover)
New - Up at Butternut Lake (water on the cover)
Into the Water by Paula Hawkins The Identicals by Elin Hilderbrand Up at Butternut Lake (The Butternut Lake Series, #1) by Mary McNear

This is fall weather?
TBR - Miss Frost Solves A Cold Case (weather term)
New - When Lightning Strikes (weather term)
Miss Frost Solves A Cold Case (Jayne Frost, #1) by Kristen Painter When Lightning Strikes (Whiskey Creek, #1) by Brenda Novak

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!
TBR - Home for Christmas (winter time)
New - Evergreen Falls (set during winter)
Home for Christmas by Cally Taylor Evergreen Falls by Kimberley Freeman

Great Balls of Fire
TBR - Dragonsworn(red/orange cover)
New - Playing with Fire (Flames and red/orange cover)
Dragonsworn (Dark-Hunter, #28) by Sherrilyn Kenyon Playing with Fire by Tess Gerritsen

Do I Stay or Do I Go?
TBR - The Summer He Came Home (truck on the cover)
New - The Girl Who Came Home (boat/journey) Ha! Everyone is coming home here!
The Summer He Came Home (Bad Boys of Crystal Lake, #1) by Juliana Stone The Girl Who Came Home by Hazel Gaynor

Football Weather?
TBR - Taking a Shot (sports theme)
New - The Penalty Box (Sports theme...I like Hockey so they're both hockey related)
Taking a Shot (Play by Play, #3) by Jaci Burton The Penalty Box (New York Blades, #4) by Deirdre Martin

Back to School!
TBR - Not Quite Dating (Child)
TBR - The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer (YA book)

Madison ✨ | 90 comments Hey Suzanne,

Sorry I'm so late at getting your picks up! I see you have Mary-Megan also picking for you so hopefully between the two of us you'll find something :) It was so much fun going through your 20k books shelves. I was nervous I wouldn’t find something you didn’t already have shelved and it was hard — most of my go-to favorites you already knew of! — I hope you enjoy at least one of these! ;) Here’s your picks:

Is it hot in here?
NEW: Heat of the Moment by Elle Kennedy – A steamy novella that happens to take place during a heat wave.

TBR: Big Rock by Lauren Blakely – This yummy cover is on my TBR list too. Her books usually have me laughing out loud and this looks just the same.

Time to head to the beach!
TBR: Distant Shores by Kristin Hannah – I see you like Kristin Hannah just like me…here’s a good one from her with water on the cover

This is fall weather?
TBR: The Summer He Came Home by Julianna Stone – It has a weather term in the title.

I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!
NEW: Prey by Linda Howard – This book is set in the mountains and includes a storm of cold weather.

Great Balls of Fire
NEW: Into the Whirlwind by Elizabeth Camden – Takes place in the late 1800s during the Great Chicago fire and the characters survive through the destruction of it. While this is a pretty tame romance novel (I think it might even be Christian?) I still loved the characters and the romance.

TBR: Seduction in Death by J.D. Robb – Has orange on the cover

Do I Stay or Do I Go?
NEW: Ride with Me by Ruthie Knox – Found this author at the library completely by accident and have truly enjoyed every book I’ve picked up of hers. This one was the first one that came to mind as it features two strangers who are riding their bikes from coast to coast in the USA. I loved the adventure and descriptions of every place.

Football Weather?
NEW: All Lined Up by Cora Carmack – This is a YA/NA novel that surprised me by how much I enjoyed. The heroine’s dad is a football coach and the hero is the 2nd string quarterback.

TBR: The Deal by Elle Kennedy – One of my favorite sports romance themed books.

Back to School!
NEW: Easy by Tamara Webber – This one is a NA/YA at a school.

TBR: On Dublin Street by Samantha Young – NA/YA novel

Happy reading :)

- Kristin

Rachel C - I think I am going to go with either In Too Deep or Beauttiful Disaster as my local library is looking for their copy of It Happened One Autumn by Lisa Kleypas as I requested after the selection but it seems to be in some unknown location.

I think I have Just Listen by Sarah Dressen on my TBR as well but probably need to hunt for that one in the TBR mountain but will see what I am in the mood for come September :).

Remember the rules are general - i.e. cowboys are athletes and The Do-Over has students (therefore teachers) even if they aren't children. ;-)

Hi Diane ~Firefly~! I was a busy little bookworm this weekend, though not as much for this challenge as for the Monthly challenge.
I did finish the novella Lord Dashwood Missed Out (Spindle Cove, #4.5) by Tessa Dare tho for 'White Christmas' - in one sitting actually! Was a cute little companion and allowed me to follow up on my favorite gentlemen from Spindle Cove.

Rebecca, Colin is just as rascally as ever, tho hopelessly devoted to Minerva! *le sigh* :)

After I finish one more book for the Hunger Games challenge, I'll start The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern !

Madison ✨ | 90 comments Hi Carrie

I just finished Paper Towns — thanks for the push to get it off my TBR list. I don't know why it took me so long to read this...I actually really enjoyed it. In some ways it was better than I expected: a pretty 'smart' novel that didn't have too much of the teenage angst that I've come to expect - yet get annoyed with - in YA novels. And in other ways it was worse: I got pretty sick of hearing of Margo Roth Spiegelman as he was just so obsessed without any real reason. Anyways, thanks again for the push, I'll try and read another one of your recs before the end of the month!

Thanks, Kristin

Awesome, Rebecca! You're on a roll this month! I thoroughly enjoyed Care and Feeding, but I have to be honest, I wasn't nearly as enthused by the next book A Witch's Handbook of Kisses and Curses and I haven't gone back to the series. Maybe you'll like it better than I did though!
