I do have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Amanda Usen books; for the most part I enjoy them, and the same can definitely be said for the third installment in the Hot Nights series, but there always seems to be something that niggles at me as the story progresses which then lowers my enjoyment level.

This is definitely the case with Make Me, Take Me.I liked this book, but I didn’t love it, for a couple of

From the Big Easy, the French Quarter, the city that brought you ‘soul food’ and beignets, New Orleans got a little hotter when Amanda Usen turned the heat up in her newest release of Make Me, Take Me. One night of passion and raw sex was all it took for two complete strangers to be enraptured with each other. In a city known for its magical spells, this one night was all it took for sparks to fly and ignite t

I always love Brazen books.

This book is surprisingly deep, even way deeper than any other Brazen books I have read. It made me think carefully about what Betsy wants in life, Kate wants and of course, Quin wants. There are so many relatable things in this book that made me think about my own dreams, what I want and eventually, what I have to do to get what

This steamy contemporary romance is the story of Quinton and Betsy. Set with the backdrop of sultry New Orleans, Quin and Betsy share a sexy one night stand, one Betsy is willing to indulge in with her handsome stranger, secure in the knowledge that she's leaving town the next day. But two years later he's back (as is she after her stint at culinary school), and building a hotel next to her bar. He hasn't forgotten their night together and desires nothing more than to pick up where they left off ...more

Make Me, Take Me is a clear case of what happens when an author transforms the labor of crafting a story into a true labor of love.
Betsy and Quin's story may be filled with fierce and unchecked passion, but it is a passion that is laced with deep heartfelt pain.
It is this pain that both serves to draw the two hearts together, while threatening to destroy both their lives and their love.
Throw in the complications of money and distrust, and set it all against the ghosts, glory, beauty, and traged

Make Me, Take Me by Amanda Usen is my second book by her, and I must say I enjoyed it. I did like it, as I said. But there were a few things that made it less enjoyable.

I did think Becky was just a tad bit aggravating/overdramatic about a few things.

First being that she kept saying that it was just an arrangement of sorts and nothing else.

The second is where she wants to renovate the bar into a Café. I can say that I sort of agree with

Make Me,Take Me is the third installment in Amanda Usen’s Hot Nights Series. I would have to say she correctly named this series because this is one hot read. I highly suggest you keep a glass of ice chips, or ice water within reach when you read this one.

I’ve never read anything by Amanda Usen before and I can safely say I will more then likely go back at some point when I have the time to read the other books in this series. Make Me, Take Me is a quick read, but it’s filled with intense emotio

This is a first time for me to read an Amanda Usen book, and I haven't read the first two books of the Hot Nights series either. The first time I started reading this book, I wasn't feeling it. I had it on my currently reading list for more than a week, when usually, I could finish a book in a day or less. I'm not exactly sure why I didn't have the urge to continue it, but the moment I felt like re-reading since I wasn't exactly

Betsy Mouton has spent her life working her butt off to provide a decent living for herself, her mom, and sister slinging drinks at her Mom’s tiny bar in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Burned by the string of rich men who used and left her mom, Betsy is dead-set against falling for any of the rich, business types that occasionally pass through the Quarter. Until she meets Quinton James.

This book made me want to take a trip to New Orleans bad. If I just happen to run into Quin all the better. That man was yummy.

Each book in this series and yes this can be read as a stand-alone give us another hottie to drool over and Quin is no exception. Why yes, I have a bit of a crush on him and no it’s not strange. Just wait till you meet him.

The man was a walking panty dropper. She could imagine him walking down Bourbon Street, melting the elastic on the underwear of every woman he passed.

This is the third in a series, and I was a fail, I didn't eve know it was out. I met the author this month at Lori Foster's Reader Author event and when I was looking at her page on goodreads I noticed that a couple of new books were out so of course I had to get them. P.S. Amanda Usen is super cute and so so nice!! On to the review.

I remember Betsy from the other books, she was around but not a ton. She was very much a quiet person because she didn't share much from herself, now I know why. Bet

I couldn't NOT read a book with a main character named Betsy. It's. To very often my namesake is used these days unless in reference to a a cow or a doll that pees her pants. To say that I enjoyed a book when my name was used to describe a bad ass girl making her way in the world is an understatement! Betsy left New Orleans struggling, working towards an education that would provide for her family and get them out of a life where they lived paycheck to paycheck, shift to shift.

I had to DNF this one at 45%. This book was so hard to get into. It was slow and boring. The blurb and genre were misleading. This is not really a contemporary romance, as it has some supernatural/magical elements to it. I wish that I had been warned so that I wasn't blindsided by it. I just couldn't get into it, and then felt as though I had been duped into reading something other than what I was expecting. The hero was an arrogant jerk, the heroine drove me crazy and was selfish and entitled, ...more

This is my 3rd book by this author. I was excited to read this because I enjoyed the 2 books in her Hot Nights series. Although I liked this book, it doesn't rank as high with me as the Hot Nights series. Personally for me the issues I had were with the heroine and her family. I thought the heroine was a little too whiny, and her family was just rude.

Betsy has a plan. She's been working towards it for a long time. She wants her mother and sister to be able to leave the sometimes sleepy bar atmos

Betsy does something so out of the ordinary the night before she is to leave for school. She spends a passionate night with the hot guy flirting with her at the end of the bar. That's the last she sees of him until she comes back a few years later and finds out that Quin's bought the hotel next door and wants to buy her family's bar as well. This was a smooth sexy read for me. Betsy and Quinn had that spontaneous combustible chemistry and could not keep their hands off one another. Ms. Usen painted those scenes with very fine intoxicating details. They were on fire. I loved Quinn's character, take charge attitude and huge heart. He really wanted to do right by Betsy. Betsy could be a little frustrating at times along with her sister. It was hard not to yell at them, "be honest with yourself, think of how good this man is, let others ...more

Awesome read! Wonderfully descriptive writing makes the city of New Orleans come alive on the pages. There's plenty of hot sexy times but there is also a great romance in this book making it a great one.

Betsey Mouton doesn't believe in happily ever after and never wants to depend on a man. Quinton James is a confident man except when it comes to relationships. He figures any one he loves will leave so why bother. After a very hot steamy night neither can forget it seems fate has thrown them tog

Entangled Publishing’s Brazen genre is never disappointed with it comes to being a hot read and Make Me, Take Me is no different. The relationship between the main characters, Betsy and Quin, was all about sex throughout the whole book.

I loved that there was the fairy tale side of the book; Betsy would refer to Quin as the Prince Charming she knew would leave her. I loved the whole party aspect, which was just like Cinderella. Who doesn’t want a night where she is invited to a ball and treated

I have heard great things about Amanda Usen's books before, but this is the first I've had the pleasure of reading - and I really enjoyed it. Quinton and Betsy are a great pair, and I loved their story! They have a one night stand, but several years later when they cross paths again, they can't forget it (despite one of them wanting to). Both characters had their own issues to deal with, but they do so together. Overall, super cute read!

I received this from Entangled Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This was a pretty good read. I loved that the heroine was strong and independent and just needed a little help. I enjoyed the romance and the story. This was a pretty great contemporary romance read. If you want some hot sizzling action and a great story look no further.

Betsy and Quinton both have pasts they would rather forget but instead get lost in each other. Betsy is working hard to change her family business and Quinton returns to the place of his past hoping to move from it. The story is wonderful and the chemistry between Betsy and Quinton is hot. An excellent read.
