I have TECHNICALLY started but I'm barely a few pages in, so I might as well not have started. Got distracted by other books.
I started this morning and got about 13% done during my morning commute. Aiden is still a creepy, obsessive cyber stalker. Hanna is as annoying as ever. Katy and Ezra are cool. Don't know Asha and Rhys well enough yet.
Page 310. These 'Surveillance Footage Summaries' are getting ridiculously subjective. Might as well just call it narrative... The person watching the footage doesn't know what people are thinking and their sob stories etc.

Veronica wrote: "At the 52% mark...[spoilers removed] This is how Skynet happens, people."I won't lie: I have some reservations with AIs in general.
I'm on page 110. This book didn't draw me in immediately like the previous two books did. Also I have the same complaint with this book as I had with the last two. Every single character has almost the exact same personality. It's even more noticeable in this book because we have all three couples here and it's hard to really distinguish between them. And the adults are really immature and unprofessional. That has been my main complaint with this series, even though I still loved the first two books.

I am thisclose to writing up bios on a sheet of paper to keep them straight in my head. It doesn't help that I didn't bother to reread the other books before starting this one 😞

I didnt expect that development either.
I am very disappointed in this book I have to say. I read it in two sittings but it most certainly did not meet my expectations.

That was intense!!
I'm on page 448 (about 75%). I'm really looking forward to seeing how this all plays out now.(view spoiler)

I liked this one more than the previous two books and I think it had more to do with the banter between the characters than anything else.

I did feel for her; I think that she was my favourite character in the whole trilogy.

I thought the romance in this instalment was particularly lame.

To be honest I thought that they wrote it only because there was such a hype on AIDAN that they wanted it to retain certain maniac qualities that would balanced the sugary (view spoiler).

The thing is, when you think about it, a lot of these files do not make sense from the purely "case against BT" point of view. What does the court care who is snogging whom and in what manner? It really hit me in this instalment.

I didn't read these for the romance, so I tried to ignore anything cringe-y/grating about it as much as possible...

The way the "files" are so emotionally driven has been a huge turn off for me in the whole installment. It takes me out of the story and makes me not care.
I finished this back on Friday and was just glad to be done. I loved the first book but each successive book has been more and more of a disappointment. Though I'd probably rank this book higher than the second book, mostly because I found (and still find) Hanna and Nick the most annoying out of all the teen characters in this trilogy. @Tammie - I totally agree with you about all the teen characters having the same personality. It just made them all interchangeably bland.
I also discovered that three separate romantic teen pairings is two and a half too many for me. Do. Not. Care.
I sped up the narration speed to 3x for the last 30% or so, just to get it over with.
Interesting, I thought Gemina was the best of all three because it has the most sparkles and the suspense factor was high. The whole 3 books 3 couples idea is a rehashed idea Amia Kaufman already executed writing Starbound: These Broken Stars, This Shattered World, Their Fractured Light (to the smallest comma, actually). But then, having read Starbound and reasonably enjoying it, I knew what to expect.
Mayim wrote: "Interesting, I thought Gemina was the best of all three because it has the most sparkles and the suspense factor was high."Hanna as an adolescent John McLaine was just a bridge too far for me, lol. And Nick as the drug dealing, mobster dude with a secret heart of gold who's ready to step in as the love interest within the same 24 period that Hanna loses her father and friends AND finds out her boyfriend is a mole for the enemy...I just couldn't. lol

This book is made of cosmic conveniences. That is all in the genre. :D I like the from enemies to lovers trope in Gemina, Veronica. The cheesy side of me won that battle.
I agree with all your comments, it's cheesy and convenient as hell. The romance was rubbish. But... For some reason I still loved it! XD

I agree with you that the twists were well written, definitely surprised me. And I love the Little Spider too, she was probably the least annoying human. :)

Yay! 😄😘
I am still somehow stuck in the middle of this. For some reason this book simply is not grabbing me like the previous two ones
Victor *we were on a break!* wrote: "Page 199 / 32%[spoilers removed]"
Yeah I could picture that too.
I've made it up to page 254. The book has picked up a bit, although still not as engaging as the first two. I am really missing the whole monster scenario. No zombies or alien creatures so far. The humans seem to be the monsters here. Page 215 (view spoiler)

I was thinking the same thing on page 292 (view spoiler) I don't remember the video summaries being this ridiculous in the first two books, but maybe I was so into the story I just didn't notice as much.
