Double Trouble Challenge
I'll take UN. Not sure how soon I'll get to it, but I really want to read A Perilous Undertaking soon.New pairs : DO and BR
Ooops, I forgot to post that I finished both of the books I'd mentioned as possibilities for TO. The first was good enough to read at least the next book in the series. The other was really good and kept me listening way later at night than it should have :) To Thine Own Self Be True (Stella Crown #3), by Judy Clemens, finished 8/19 ★★★.5
Tombstone Courage (Joanna Brady #2), by J.A. Jance, finished 8/21 ★★★★
I finished my BA book from Post #544. So fun by a new-to-me author. The Ugly Stepsister Strikes Back by Sariah Wilson - 9/15/21 ♥♥♥♥
Pairs remain: LA and VA
Finished my UN book while we were out of town. What a great series! I can't wait to read the next one :)A Perilous Undertaking (Veronica Speedwell #2), by Deanna Raybourn, finished 9/12/21 ★★★★
I can take LA with The Outlaw Ocean: Journeys Across the Last Untamed Frontier. New pairs : VA and DR
From #558, my DO book:The Story of Dr. Dolittle Hugh Lofting 10-7-21
I never read it as a child. It's delightful!
I will take HO.
New pairs: VA and TE
Finally finished my book for LA and found it oddly fascinating, although a little technical in places. The Outlaw Ocean: Journeys Across the Last Untamed Frontier, by Ian Urbina, finished 10/16 ★★★★
I can the LI with The Librarian Always Rings Twice, by Marty Wingate
NEW PAIRS : VA and RO
From #564, my HO book:A funny mystery, well written!
Holy Ghost John Sandford 10-26-21
Now I'll take RO
New pairs: VA and TI
Finished my book from Post #563:DR - All He Ever Dreamed by Shannon Stacey - 10/23/21 ♥♥♥♥
Pairs: VA and TI
I'll take TI and will read either Maybe This Time or Every Time You Go Away, depending on which I get to first.New Pairs: VA and NO
I finished a prior pick: The Tea Planter's Daughter. Here's what happened: I needed this book for another challenge so I plunged in. Two-thirds of the way through when I was updating my progress I thought it really weird that the description of the book didn't match what I was reading AT ALL. Turns out I'd accidentally started a different book in the same series. So I finished it and read the correct one...... LOLI'll take VA with Sex and Vanity
New Pairs: NO and CH, (which should work for some of us Christmas book readers out there...)

From #568, my RO book:Roping Lions in the Grand Canyon by Zane Grey 11-18-21
A good adventure story, if you aren't too tender-hearted for the lions!
I'll take CH for a Christmas book!
New letters: NO and GR
Forgot to post that I finally finished the book for LI. It was another good addition to the series, and I'll continue with it if it continues. Seems like a lot of series are ending after just three books, so who knows? The Librarian Always Rings Twice (First Edition Library #3), by Marty Wingate, finished 12/10 ★★★.5
I can take the NO for an ARC that I need to read in the next month, Up to No Gouda, by Linda Reilly. I can't imagine an "eatery" serving only variations on grilled cheese, so I'm a bit skeptical before even reading one page!New pairs : GR and RE
From #573, my Christmas book for CH:The Christmas Basket Debbie Macomber 12-30-21
Just a simple, easy-to-read Christmas story.
I will take RE!
New pairs: GR and SI
I'll take GR because I'm supposed to read Off The Grid this month. Also, I finished a prior pick: Sex and Vanity 4 stars. New pairs: SI and TO
From #576, my RE book is:Atlas of Remote Islands Judith Schalansky 1-9-22
It's a fascinating book for people interested in islands or the Earth!
I'll take SI.
New pairs: DR and LO
And I finished my TO book. Parts of it were interesting, but not as fascinating as the title would indicate. Time's Pendulum: From Sundials to Atomic Clocks, the Fascinating History of Timekeeping and How Our Discoveries Changed the World, by Jo Ellen Barnett, finished 1/2 ★★★.5
Maybe this is one of those cases like the cozies where the authors insist it's laugh-out-loud funny and the fact that they've said it virtually guarantees it isn't true. If you have to tell people something is fascinating....Pairs are still DR and LO
Could be... but I'm not sure I want to conduct that particular experiment. It could prove to be very disappointing. But then think of all the books we could remove from our TBR lists!
Finished the NO book that I committed to so long ago, I'd forgotten all about it. It was a good start to a new series, and I liked most of the characters involved. I have to wonder, though, about the sustainability of an eating establishment that focuses solely on grilled cheese!Up to No Gouda (Grilled Cheese #1), by Linda Reilly, finished 1/18 ★★★.5
I can take DR with Happy People Read and Drink Coffee. The cover makes me happy, I hope the story does too :)
NEW PAIRS : LO and ST
Forgot to post that I finished my DR book. It was ok -- not what I was expecting, but a good story anyhow, even though the ending wasn't what I was looking for.Happy People Read and Drink Coffee, by Agnès Martin-Lugand, finished 2/7 ★★★
I can take ST with Never Steal a Cockatiel. Can't wait to go back to Pittsburgh and see what Leigh and the rest are up to :) NEW PAIRS : LO and SP
I’ll take SP with
. Also, I finished an earlier pick: Off The Grid -- I like this series but this one in particular was disturbing!
New pairs: LO and MI
From #579, my SI book is:Sing Down the Moon by Scott O'Dell
2-25-22
An interesting historical book about Navajos!
Now I'll take LO!
New pairs: MI and FI
From #588, I already read:The Lost Language by Claudia Mills 2-27-22
It's a nice children's book about girl friends, medical issues in the family, and languages!
Next I'll take MI.

I can take DE with Death Before Decaf
New pairs: LA and HO
I'm changing my SP pick. I got out of reading Sprinkles on Top by just not completing the challenge it was a part of on time... lol. I wasn't in the mood for it anyway. I'll read Spirits and Sourdough instead. Pairs are still LA and HO
I finished my book from Post #591 and finished:First Drop of Crimson by Jeaniene Frost - 3/6/22 ♥♥♥♥
Good start to the spinoff of the Night Huntress series.
I'll take HO since I have several books that will fit.
New pairs: LA and SE
