Okay. I will be finishing my book tonight. Just about to start in on the final stretch for it. Thanks for letting me know you've got me covered, though. I appreciate the backup.

I am reading
next, and it works for #5 or #40.Whoever does #25, try for the bonus point too! We want to rake in as many points as possible.
Happy reading, y'all!
Awesome. Hey, did I get my review in on time for the previous round? Was it midnight tonight or tomorrow night?
Yes you got it in in time. I guess I wasn't completely clear on the deadline...the round ends on the 13th -- meaning midnight PT (so in about 23 minutes). However, becAuse I wasn't clear on that, this round I will leave open until end of day today - so 24 more hours.
Thanks for clarifying on the time of day. I think I must not have read it close enough. So glad I decided to finish tonight instead of tomorrow!Woot woot! We're in for the bonus. Love it!
The book I'm reading for Round Three will cover any of this round's tasks, other than #25 (it has candy in the text but no characters named Martin or Luther).
#4: “…gone to the pool with Cynthia and her mother” (pg. 176).
#5: “…she and her husband and son had gone camping in Canada” (pg. 49)
#37: “…a year ago she’s graduated from college with a degree in business” (pg. 123).
#40: “…chose to set his house on fire” (pg. 256).
Melanie - What book will you be reading for task #25 and how does it work? Does it have a character named Martin or Luther? :)
Update:Melanie #25
Andrea #40
Monique #3 or #37
Jamie #5
Kimberly
Kimberly, may you do either #3 or #37?
Andrea wrote: "Jamie, is the hiking category okay with you, or would you rather take the fire one?"either works for me!
We have until the end of the day on Tuesday, September 26th (11:59 p.m. PST) to finish the Round Three tasks. :)
Thanks for the reminder about the due date/time. I'm hoping not to cut it quite so close this time! I'm nearing the halfway point in my book, squeezing it in between jobs and at night.
I'm going to try and get mine done soon. My birthday is next week, so I might not have as much reading time certain days. Hopefully will get a good portion read tomorrow, though.
Happy birthday, y'all! How exciting that you two have your birthdays so close together. Virtual cake for everybody!
I was able to finish up my book last night, and I just got my review posted. How are you ladies coming along on your books?
Thanks, Melanie. It wasn't an easy one to write. I hate leaving negative reviews!Great job on your book! Do you think you'll have a decent amount of reading time between now and through the weekend?
I know what you mean. I hate doing negative reviews too. :/
I hope so. Today, maybe not; but I'm hoping tomorrow and the next day will be enough to finish it. :)

ok yall, I read The Neon Lawyer, on Audiobook. the voice was horrible, it was like a 12 year old teenager voice! ugh!!! but I made it through!!! also, it wasnt a book for this group challenge, but oh man, i was gonna read it!
Happy birthday, Jamie! Mine was in late August (8/21).The narrator makes a huge difference sometimes. I haven't read to many audio books yet, but I've noticed the ones I've chosen have had really great narrators. I'm hoping that trend continues, but I've heard there are some not so great ones out there.
Happy Belated Birthday Jamie and Andrea! And for today, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MELANIE! :) It's amazing that 4/5 of our group members have birthdays less than a month apart! 3/5 within 5 days of one another...Andrea: 8/21
Jamie: 9/15
Melanie: 9/19
Kimberly: 9/20
My birthday is on the last day of March (3/31), which occasionally falls on Easter.
I haven't started my book for Round Three yet because I've been spending a lot of my free time lately trying to get through the "Touched by an Angel" episodes that have piled up on my DVR (I love this show!). However, I will likely start and finish my Round Three book within the next few days because I am hooked on the "Sister Circle" series! :)
Aw, Touched by and Angel was one of my favorite shows in the '90s! I'm glad you're enjoying it.Friendly reminder, y'all:
All reviews for Round Three are due no later than 11:59 p.m. (PST) on 9/26.
We can do it! Happy reading.
Andrea wrote: "Aw, Touched by and Angel was one of my favorite shows in the '90s! I'm glad you're enjoying it."I also watched "Touched by an Angel" in the 90s and still consider it one of my favorite shows, which is why I'm really enjoying revisiting the show now. :)
No worries about my being done with our Round Three #4 task before the deadline. I will for sure be done with this task before the end of this week. :)
I know what you mean about enjoying revisiting favorite shows. Before my current editing jobs, I was enjoying spending some time watching Numb3rs, one of my favorite procedural shows. I love how Charlie makes high-level math seem fun. I only have two seasons left to rewatch to finish the full series again, but these deadlines have postponed it, and since the NHL and NBA are kicking back up again soon (preseason for my Stars starts tonight), I'm guessing I won't be getting back to Numb3rs for quite some time.
Happy Birthday Kimberly! If you would like to enjoy your birthday and time with your family in California, without worrying about Round Three of this challenge, I believe Andrea has read a book that could cover task #37... Leaving this up to you all. :)#37: Higher Education ✔
*Read a book with a main character that attends/attended college (must be in text).
*Book: Looking for Lovely: Collecting the Moments That Matter by Annie F. Downs
*Read by: ANDREA, finished 9/14/17, rated 4 stars
*How it works: In the beginning text - “As my oldest friend, kid sister, college roommate, and an honorary aunt to my children, Annie has been a constant in my life for more than twenty-five years.” - Annie is the author and the main character in this book, and she has earned a bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Georgia, which is made evident in this book's text.

I'm not sure that was a part of the workbook other than as an endorsement. Would that still count? I'm not even sure what page it was on either.
The specifications of the #37 task are that the book has a main character that attends/attended college, which must be in the text.I think Looking for Lovely: Collecting the Moments That Matter meets this criteria because Annie is obviously the main character of the book, and there is proof that she attended college in the text of this book. Although this proof is in the beginning pages, I don't think it matters where in the text the proof is, just that there is proof in the text. :)
What do you think of this Melanie and Kimberly? It would be nice to have this as a backup. :)
Ah, okay. I wasn't even planning on finishing that book during this round of the game, but I'm happy I did so we now have a backup. I was looking through my current am-reading books, but wasn't seeing anything that could work as a backup for anything. Glad you found one for me!
Thank you Monique, that would be so nice. I almost always have a grandchild in my arms or I am reading children's books
How are you ladies doing this weekend? I met two deadlines this week, so I finally have space to breathe today. I'm getting some fun reading in and might even brainstorm a new story idea at some point. What are y'all up to over the weekend?
My Saturday in part was spent doing Irma cleanup. There is soooooo much tree debris everywhere. I just got back from Stone Mountain Park (my favorite place in GA) where I played a round of miniature golf, walked on my favorite island path and had a picnic near the water with my mom and two of my brothers, and there are a lot of downed trees and tree debris there too. The state of Georgia has an abundance of trees and Irma made quite a mess of them.
