The Martian

The book I'm reading right now has the funniest first chapter I think I've ever read. I even read it out loud to my husband. The Deepest Grave

Storm Front is urban fantasy. Furies of Calderon is J.R.R. Tolkien-style epic high swords-and-sorcery fantasy and The Aeronaut's Windlass is steampunk.

I've never yet read a book by him that didn't hook me instantly.

i'm not as big a fan of his as you, but I believe he's a great writer.

As far as a thriller goes: Fractured (How I love the Will Trent series!)

Highly recommend this series!
