Lisa's Choice ~ August 2017 Challenge ~ Books With 1 Word Title
Easy! Graceling by Kristin Cashore. I grabbed it when it was on sale, but I have been wanting to read it for forever.

Ela. On the other thread, I thought from your (HUGE) tbr shelf, maybe
. It's new and getting a good rap. Are you in the mood for a bit of YA?
I think I'll probably do lots of one word titles this month. The big one will be Hideaway by Penelope Douglas.

"I'll definitely be reading that book!
Ela, I had a bunch all typed in and they disappeared before I hit "post". GrrrrrI am going to have to look them up again. But if you want pnr, i am no help.

YOU HAVE MY ATTENTION!
Leslie wrote: "Ela, let me know if you still want suggestions. How about reading Forget
with me? 😉"Not sure i'm in the mood for that now....maybe in a few days???

"LOVED THE FIRST BOOK!
Jan130 wrote: "Ooh. Looks creepy Grey. Ela have you read Risk? Dannika Dark. It's pnr. My pick for me."Thanks Jan, I'll check it out.
Alright, it's Aug. 2 and I finished Graceling. 4 stars. A few too many missed opportunities and a few flat secondaries in it made me have to lower the score, but it was fun and kept me interested all day.
Damn overachievers. I haven't started ANY of my monthly challenges. I'm trying to finish an ARC that has me struggling a bit. Yanno - I guess I have to accept I'm not a huge fan of YA. While they do tend to be heavy on angst (which I adore), I just really don't connect so much to the characters because I'm like ancient now!!!
I have to pick a new one word title because it looks like Hideaway has been shifted back til a September release... hmmmm

Grey, I saw Broken
(dark and erotic) and Him
(sexy m/m hockey players) on your TBR Both are fabulous!
Tessa has finished her challenge on Aug 2??? WaaaaHHHHH??? I haven't even STARTED mine yet. WTG Tessa!
lol I just really wanted to read it. I don't think it should have been in the best YA fantasy category, but then again, neither should have The Selection (which is sci-fi, not fantasy).
I was seriously debating skipping out on this challenge since, apparently, I can't pick my own books. Every single month has been a dnf. But, here it is August. One word month. And I just happen to be reading a one word title book which is an ARC ... and practically guaranteed to be good.
This will not be a dnf! So...for August I'm reading
Thank you Lisa and Fabi. Lisa, I command you read a five star that's unknown to everyone and will thrill everyone. (Because, you know, that's an easy find, right?)
Happy birthday Tessa. Have a lovely day. *smooches on cheek*Wow Fabi. Lucky you for getting that ARC. We're all dying to know what it's like. Big shoes to fill.
Edited first post. Let me know if you need me to add your books to the challenge... there are a few that I didn't see, I wasn't sure if you weren't participating this month??? haha!
I have so many 1-word title books to choose from! But decided today, I'm reading Wrecked by Jeannine Collette!

by Rachel van Dyken. Eagle Elite is my favorite mafia series.
