Lisa Aiello (lisaaiello) | 2460 comments 2 stars for Bookish - it wasn't for me!!! Too cliche, too shallow. It's like the author's intent was to hit EVERY highlight from every romance novel ever written.

Jean | 1658 comments Ugh Lisa, that sucks! I think I have that one too.

I'm at about 60% of Wrecked....slow burn, friends to enemies to frienemies.....he is one broody bastard (but possibly loveable too....lol). I do love Jeannine Colette's writing!

Jean | 1658 comments Finished Wrecked.....5 Stars for me! Love Jeannine Colette!

Paula White | 800 comments Finished Malaise - 3.75* - not quite 4 but I did enjoy it

message 55: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments I am totally dragging my feet with Extinguish (Extinguish, #1)
by J.M. Darhower, I just can't seem to get into it and I really think it has to do with my GOT binging???

message 56: by [deleted user] (new)

Are you going through a reading slump, Ela?

message 57: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments Yeah, Extinguish was brilliant, but GoT is insanely wonderful. I'm reading a CR right now, because after Sunday's catch up, and OMG, the 4th episode of this season (WASN'T THAT THE BEST? "Flee you idiot. You fucking idiot!"). No way I can handle something trying to compare.

Ela | 4291 comments I'm really having a dificult time with Extinguish.... It's almost YA and cheesy???

Sparrow... I kind of want to shake them.

message 67: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Ela, that sucks. 🙁

Grey, I had feeling Sparrow would be "iffy". 😯

message 68: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments I loved Sparrow...

message 69: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments Extinguish = 2 stars, just couldn't connect. Maybe it's my GOT hangover?

message 70: by Tessa (new)

Tessa | 1761 comments It could be. *shrugs* Or maybe something about it just doesn't work for you. Nothing wrong with that.

message 71: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) Oh well, at least it's off your tbr, Ela. I'm going hopelessly badly at the tbr challenges. Have hardly finished any of my challenge books :( My tbr just keeps on growin'. *sighs* And I haven't even got a GoT hangover as an excuse. *shrugs*

message 72: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments LOL Jan!

message 73: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments I almost feel like having a TBR cleaning day and removing (everybody control your gasps) some books that I am pretty sure are no longer my taste. I know, its practically sacrilege to delete books, but the TBR is overwhelming....

More book nerd problems.

message 74: by Ela (new)

Ela | 4291 comments I actually did something like that some time ago Leslie, but my TBR is still at 4K + books!

message 75: by Jean (new)

Jean | 1658 comments I've thought about doing that too Leslie because I know there are books I'll probably never read. I'm at 1700 on my TBR! Ela beats me big time!

message 76: by Jan (new)

Jan (jan130) 4K+ ?????? *gulps* I feel positively glowing with virtue at my humble several hundred.

Leslie I've been doing some cleaning up this week, and have removed a lot of samples I loaded onto my kindle ages ago that I think now I'm never gonna bother with. I also deleted a whole pile from my want-to-read shelf on GR. Ones that I now think, nup, get real Jan, you're never REALLY gonna read that.

message 77: by Paula (new)

Paula White | 800 comments I have 3600 on my TBR and I don't have the slightest inkling to clean it! I will just leave it and let it grow but I will say even with that many, sometimes I can not find anything I want to read and am in the mood for....#bookproblems

Some of the books on my amazon wish list come up with price reductions, I look at them sometimes and think "why did I want that?' - take it off the list and do not buy - so I see that as saving my TBR LOL!

message 78: by Leslie (new)

Leslie | 2430 comments Ela & Paula, you guys are CRAZY! That is a lot books. I have anxiety just thinking about it. Jean, even yours would stress me out. I freaked when mine hit 800. Jan, I like the way you think.
