Haha no mucking around anymore. I was on the fence for ages about Greatcoats, but I'm not feeling any inclination to read it. Now to ponder all those other series I seem to have that only have one book remaining that I've stalled on for ages.

Book one was barely good enough for me to continue. However I liked books 2 and 3. Book 4 as you know from the archived thread sucks.

I've decided to put this challenge on hold until I get back up to 10 incomplete series. This challenge and mini-challenge have helped me so much to manage my series so I'm going to focus on my Overflowing Bookshelf Challenge now.

I can see that, you are trying to choose the "right" book. Said so, I can see your next hiccup. The Pandora vase after you opened it!
Also, the group has amazing reads lined up so that might be the right source of (devious) inspiration!

To be fair, I'm just good at abandoning series and now I have to tackle the next challenge!

I abandoned a ton up front when I set up my Incomplete Challenge... and I'm really tempted to just keep abandoning PNR series... I really am not feeling them anymore... I hit my saturation point on insta-love and 24-72hr romances....

Just having the page set up has really helped me tackle my Incomplete list... any time I finish with New Releases and need to find a next book I just start skimming my list from closest to caught up onward...

If I was doing the 5 for 1 challenge, I would have already completed one this month and half of another, ignoring short stories:

4) Stormlight Archive
5) Illuminae Files
6) Chicagoland Vampires

Caught up once I finish reading current book:

After reorganizing and adding back in 10 series (it's complicated), I'm now at 76 Unfinished (27 UTD and 49 Regular). I also abandoned a few more. It will be a great day for me when I finally get down to just the series I'm excited to read. I have a few more I many officially decide not to get back to.

I feel that way about a couple of them. I decided if I ever want to unabandon them it will cost me a new series credit. I can't believe how long the lists tend to get.

Mine got long fast... I started worrying about reaching a point where all I had time for was new releases back in 2013-2014 when I read 700 books in 2 years... some series like In Death by JD Robb, Shifters Unbound by Jennifer Ashley, Argeneau Vampires by Lynsay Sands, and at one time Chicagoland Vampires by Chloe Neill release 2 books a year...
