In the thread of August 2017 book suggestions I noticed we got A LOT of nominations for books that have already been read as part of this group. You can view what we've read by checking out the bookshelf: https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...

Since they've been read, but got a lot of new interest this month, I thought we could make a running list of some of the books you'd like to reread that we could perhaps run alongside the voted choice each month. What I would do, is just revive the old thread, but that way some new people can participate in the discussion. Please leave the titles below of books you would like to reread so I can get an idea of how many people would be interested in something like this!

Also, if you're willing to lead a bit of the discussion on one of these titles, please let me know in the comments below as well.

Thanks Jennie! As I get more responses I'll probably create a separate poll for the re reads.

Jennie | 17 comments That's a great idea thank you! I've never lead a book discussion before but I have read and thoroughly enjoyed Talking As Fast As I Can, and I'd be up for leading a book discussion if anyone wanted to reread it :)

Jenna Elliot (jennaelliot) | 7 comments I just joined the group this month and haven't read most of the books that the group has already read, so I am a fan of the re-read idea!

Jane Eyre, Atonement, The Great Gatsby, and 1984. :)

This is great! I'm happy to see so many people are wanting to re read some of the books from Rory's list that we've already read in this group. Since we have so many new members I thought it would be a hit!

I want to get some more responses over the week and then I'm thinking we could do a separate poll to select the re-read book. Thoughts?

Rosa | 42 comments That sounds good to me (waiting a week and doing another poll)! 👍🏻👍🏻

message 14: by Patry (new)

Patry (patritorres) Jane Eyre, Emma and On the Road!
And that's a great idea, specially for those of us who recently joined the group!

message 15: by Frau Spätzle (new)

Frau Spätzle (soenne) Love the idea! (Even if I'm not sure if I can make it every month - and I missed only a few books, have not read 6 of our bookshelf to be exact.)
What about starting from the beginning again and working our way up to the most recently read books?

message 16: by Colleen (new)

Colleen (miniguinea73) I love this idea. I've been a little book dragon trying to read what's already been read by the book since I've joined.

सुवर्णा मुंगी | 4 comments I joined the group in mid of August and currently reading Alice's adventures in wonderland, The great Gatsby and Anna Karenina. I think I already have too much in my plate for the month of September. But, I would really like to know who else is trying to catch with already read books. 😊

For 2018 I want to start something a little different. In addition to our normal “voted group read book” we are also going to choose 1 book that was already read each quarter (January, April, July, and October). This will give people who were not members at the time to read a book they would have liked to of read, or a chance to revisit some of the longer books you didn’t have time to read when they were the voted choice. You can head over to the January 2018 suggestions thread make your quarter 1 re-read nomination now: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
