I'll go with Turbo Twenty-Three by Janet Evanovich - I know I won't love it, but it will be fun and enjoyable enough. Additionally she's always struggling with her finances - not really in debt but on the brink of.

I think #6 has lots of possibilities. I'm not sure about the other two.

Paprika makes reminds of a Polish restaurant nearby that serves the best goulash. Every summer they take a group of friends on a tour of Poland. I sure would like to go. Maybe one of these days.

Thank you Lanelle. We didn't use paprika that much in our family but if you get there look if they have bigos - it's one of the most famous polish dishes made of Sauerkraut and meat.

I looked up 'bigos'. Here in the US, it's known as Hunter's Stew. It looks good. I'll have to try making it when the weather cools down.

I finished my book for the definition - portal, which is an entrance, a large doorway, a gate.

I read The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Mary Lennox searches and searches for the entrance into the locked garden. Such a good story. 4 stars.

Is anyone willing to pick out some numbers for me, and I'll look them up in my handy dictionary?

Here's what I found on page 113:

For some reason, the first book that came to mind when I was typing 'nose' was The Host (The Host, #1) by Stephenie Meyer . It's been a while since I've read it. Time to read it again :)

7/24: Finished today Swamp Sniper (Miss Fortune Mystery, #3) by Jana Deleon book 3 of Miss Fortune Series Boxset 1 by Jana Deleon - 5* Again it was a fun, light and very entertaining read. I love so much Fortune, Ida Belle & Gertie and like Carter more and more with each book. I loved all the unexpected twists and turns and look already forward to the next book in series :-)

Read Letter of the Law (Lone Star Law Series, #3) by Carsen Taite for evasion a cartel head was trying to evade capture from law enforcement. Subterfuge because MCs didnt know if they could trust each other.

#3 compile - to compose out of existing materials, especially from other books or documents
#15 compound - 1) to put or unite together into a whole 2) to adjust by agreement, compromise, as a dispute, a debt
#19 compromise - 1) a settlement reached by mutual agreement 2) an exposure to risk or suspicion

I like #3 and #19. Any ideas?
