Basically he does social media/promotions. Remember he set up Mallory's webpage to make if more user friendly and added pictures of things Mallory had made so people could see his work, plus he did the twitter and facebook thing, etc.

Yes, I was just wondering if this would be his main job in the future as well especially since it said in the book that they were talking about what he would do for work when he moved there. I really thought he would start working as an instructor at the shooting range because Mallory said he was such a good teacher.

You totally figured it out. I think for most people it would seem a bit strange but because it was Archer and what it all meant to him, I found it to be such a romantic and loving gesture. I mean if someone offered to do that for me, I'd be like 'wtf? Are you crazy? Why would you think I'd want you to do that?' but as soon as he offered to this for Archer, I was melty and 'ohmygod! That's so sweet.'

aaaahhh...ok, I misunderstood what you said. I don't think this was really determined but I certainly wouldn't be opposed to a follow up book...or even a story to see how Mallory and Archer are doing say 5 years down the road or maybe a story for Danny and we get a peek at what Mallory and Archer are up to that might be good too.

Yes, I loved this gesture so much! As much as the arrows and the puzzle :) It was really sweet of him!

Josy So it seems that this book was a winner for all of us, right? I loved it! The writing was as amazing as I remembered it from fawn and now I just need to read all the other books from this author that are waiting for me.

It so was!!! I just wrote a few words and even then I had tears in my eyes (or it's just me being a bit emotional today due to lack of sleep. ;-) I don't know...) But what a book!!! I will definitely look into her other books now too!!! For now I'll go see Jamilah and hope she will cheer me up a bit. ;-)

Totally agree. I was surprised when I realized she's the author of maps **looking at Karen there with her famous crush on this character, LOL**
Going right away reading your review, Simone !!
Have all a great day !

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Oh, girls, please keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to call the vet later... :( Jamilah and I went for a walk and she got pretty much worked up over being without her friends. Afterwards she showed signs of a colic. She was doing okay when I left her and and munched her hay, but I don't know... I'm a bit scared because she's showing these signs more often lately. I told somebody at the stable to keep an eye on her and gave her some meds. I hope this will be enough. So much for her cheering me up... :(

I'm sorry, I tried so hard with Maps and it just wasn't happening...I'm a sad kitten but Ele still loves me. Honestly 'Maps' was well written it just didn't connect for me and truthfully is very, very different from this one.

Oh damn, this doesn't sound good! Is it far to the stable? Otherwise, I'd check on her later - maybe in an hour or two. Often, they show more signs after eating something. Look for sweating and try to feel if her stomach feels hard to the touch. Keep us posted, okay? I keep my fingers crossed that she's alright! But when in doubt, call the vet! A colic is nothing you should take lightly but I'm sure you know that :)

Josy Oh, and Simone, I reinstalled Firefox and the auto-refresh add-on and I had it in use for the past 30 minutes on the GR main page and it always shows the newest updates at the top of the page after refreshing. So I'm not sure why it didn't work with the comments during our BR O.O

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Josy wrote: "Simone wrote: "Oh, girls, please keep your fingers crossed that I don't have to call the vet later... :( Jamilah and I went for a walk and she got pretty much worked up over being without her frien..."

It's not that far... A fifteen minute drive. I told Rita to look after her and give her another nux vomica shot. For Jamilah it's already a bad sign if she doesn't eat up. We'll see... And you are absolutely right, I will definitely call the vet when I'm not really sure if she's feeling well. I did it the last three times as well. Better safe than sorry. :( It's the damn weather again, it's pretty humid and muggy and with her convulsing due to her working herself up it's not a good combo...

Hmmm, pretty weird! I've seen that the page was re-freshened every 6o seconds because it always jumped to the top of the page after that, but the new comments didn't show up. :( But thank you for trying again... <3

I've tried again with this thread and for me, the new comments showed up. It's annoying that the page always jumps to the top, though. Mine stays where it was before it was refreshed. You should switch to Chrome, lol!

This thought crossed my mind, yes. LOL. Since it's already installed on my laptop it should be worth a try, shouldn't it? ;-)

Yes, it's worth a try :) This is the add-on I use:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/de...
Very easy to handle :)

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Josy wrote: "Very easy to handle :)"

Hahaha! Tell that Chrome...
After some sort of discussion where I should log in again and Chrome insisted on me writing my email address, but didn't let me, I think we are now on speaking terms... ;-) At least I hope so...
Firefox is easier on my favorites. They show up on the left side and with Chrome I have to click on top of the page to show them, but I think I can deal with it. ;-) Thanks for the add-on link, I'll try it. :)

wtf? I'm not sure either. Although I did make a comment about the fact that I haven't read fawn by Nash Summers yet and I can't find it so maybe that's what it was. Who the hell knows. Let's blame it on the fact that I have to purge some of my books and it's breaking my heart to do so, ok?

Oh I have a copy of 'fawn' I just need to read it.

There's no way I can take my all books to the new place. So I got looking around and decided it really is silly to keep books that I've read and will probably never read again when we have to pay for a place to store them. Plus as hubby said if I do want to re-read them I can always buy them in e-book format which is probably how I'd want to read them anyways. So we're going to have a yard sale to get rid of some stuff and I'm going to get rid of a bunch of my books both my fiction and non-fiction, I have a bunch of gardening books which living in a condo I'll have no use for but even if I did need gardening info...google is my friend. I've still got my favorites like all my Greg Iles, Terry Brooks and Sharon Shinn books and ones that I haven't read yet. I've just never done this before so I had a bit of a moment about it this morning but I'm cool with it now.

Oh, I misunderstood your comment. I thought you meant the book when you said "I can't find it" but you meant your comment, right?

Oh NOOOO, you make me cry ;( I get the need for it, I really do. But... But giving away books is such a hard thing to do even if you probably won't read them anymore. When I gave away a bunch of books a few years back, I was really depressed for a while. I know it's kinda ridiculous but yes, I get it. I'm sending you lots of hugs and I'm really proud of you for being so strong!!

Yeah, it sucks but then I think maybe someone else will get the chance to read it and enjoy it as much as I did...unless it's one of the few that I'm getting rid of because I finally had to admit after having given them 2 or 3 tries I'm never going to read them...in which case maybe someone will finally enjoy the book that I couldn't ;)

Well that and the fact that with the money I save not having to pay for the poundage on the books to be moved and believe me there's a bit of poundage here I can treat myself to a new book or audio book or two ;)

Simone - on indefinite hiatus - Hey, ladies,

I got a message that Jamilah is doing well. Thank goodness! Why the hell does she always have to scare me like that??? As long as it turns out all right, I'm a happy girl, though. ;-)
