I think he's already reading Joyland by Emily Schultz so I won't recommend that.Since it's summer and I think he could use a good laugh I'll nominate The Water Method Man by John Irving, although I'm sure he's read it.
by John Irving
by Emily Schultz
I nominate
The Wave.Blurb:
The Wave is based on a true incident that occured in a high school history class in Palo Alto, California, in 1969.
The powerful forces of group pressure that pervaded many historic movements such as Nazism are recreated in the classroom when history teacher Burt Ross introduces a "new" system to his students. And before long The Wave, with its rules of "strength through discipline, community, and action", The Wave sweeps from the classroom through the entire school. And as most of the students join the movement, Laurie Saunders and David Collins recognize the frightening momentum of The Wave and realize they must stop it before it's too late.
Swan Song by Robert McCammon ( I think he has read it already). Sorry, I am not sure how to put a link like other people)
Scott wrote: "That sounds great Danny"I think I've seen it in King's list of books to read. Or he already read it. I can't remember.
Traci wrote: "in memory of the passing of author Daniel Keyes I suggest Flowers For Algernon"I'll second Flowers for Algernon.
In view of the upcoming television series, I nominate Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan's The StrainAn entirely new look at vampires!

I second that! Was a good book, and I can't wait for the show :D
This website called BookVibe creates personalized book recommendations and they have a list of recs for Stephen King: http://www.bookvibe.com/people/Stephe.... Some Gaiman and Atwood atop the list.
I have the feeling that he has read all of these. And I can't think of anything to suggest that he hasn't read. My fav authors (other than King) are ones that I know he has read. So...what to suggest? I guess I'd like to suggest a friend of mine who has written a couple of books...Lazarus Barnhill. He's actually quite good. My 1st suggestion would be THE MEDICINE PEOPLE. Then LACEY TAKES A HOLIDAY. I really liked them, but I may be biased.
The Merciless by Danielle VegaIt's kind of like Pretty Little Liars on drugs meets Hostel movies. Really amazing and the author says she gets her love of horror from reading King books when she was little.
Nominations are closed. If your book didn't make it on the list it's because we have read it before. Be sure to vote!
