On the Page Count challenge, I'm just eating popcorn and seeing the top teams read it out... One of my team mates dropped out, the other has no internet...

I do, too. The member that dropped out said she had forgotten about the challenge. My reaction was: GASP!! You don't forget about MMC!!

Sorry Tati :( I remember being on teams with you in the past, it was so much fun! I'm on a fun team this year, so I don't really mind people missing, but I get a bit competitive anyway lol
Half the reason I do challenges is so I'll read more than I planned lol. I'm super competitive too :D
Considering I haven't really been in here for the past year and haven't read more than a maximum of eight book, I had to go with fun haha :D
I don't have any of them, unfortunately :/ Two of them looks interesting though! It'll take too long to get them from the library, of they even have them (doubt it!)
I guess its fun being an adult in the sense that you can pop out and go to like the book store - more freedom yes?
Sabaha wrote: "I guess its fun being an adult in the sense that you can pop out and go to like the book store - more freedom yes?"Yup. You can also order online since most adults have a credit card. :)
Sabaha wrote: ":) Do you tend to buy more books or borrow them?"For a few years I bought all my books. Now I'm getting back in to borrowing. It's easier now that I know that my library is online so I don't rack up huge fines because I forgot I had library books. :)
Andrea, we don't have those here, I'd have to order online and wouldn't get them in time :/ The ebooks are too pricy, I think, or I would've just gotten those :)
Irene wrote: "Andrea, we don't have those here, I'd have to order online and wouldn't get them in time :/ The ebooks are too pricy, I think, or I would've just gotten those :)"Aw that's so disappointing! I've spent a couple afternoons sitting in Barnes and Noble just reading.

I can never just read in a bookstore. I hate crowds and also I always end up buying the book anyway. lol. :)
Plus my local bookstore doesn't really want you to read in store. They have only a few stools/chairs and they are not comfortable. -.-
There is more freedom as an adult, in many ways. But then there are all of the adult things you have to do. Like work. Hahaha. I like working, but it can also be really draining. We have online accounts at our libraries now as well. It makes it really easy to find and request books, as well as keep track of them.

I agree. I love my online library. I just wish I liked e-books more. :/

Yeah the last time I went I sat at an uncomfortable coffee table but I was determined to read that specific book!
Andrea wrote: "Bookbuyer wrote: "Andrea wrote: "Irene wrote: "Andrea, we don't have those here, I'd have to order online and wouldn't get them in time :/ The ebooks are too pricy, I think, or I would've just gott..."lol. I've had to do that in the past. :P
I haven't used my library for ebooks yet. I want to try it out. I'm ok with them mostly. But I do prefer physical books.
C.P. wrote: "I haven't used my library for ebooks yet. I want to try it out. I'm ok with them mostly. But I do prefer physical books."Same. The thing I love most is that they return themselves on the due date. I never have to worry about overdue fines. :)
That's a good thing. My next Riyria book is only ebook through the library, so I'll probably try it out soon.
C.P. wrote: "That's a good thing. My next Riyria book is only ebook through the library, so I'll probably try it out soon."I highly recommend it. :)
Irene wrote: "The due date thing is definitely a huge plus for online libraries!"It is! The main reason I started to buy books was because I'd forget or lose library books and I'd end up racking up huge fines. It's only in the last year or so that I've gone back to library books and that's because I can now keep track online. :)

Guess we have learned to not add links. :/
