I think it could be the fact that your score will be the pages you read + the BR.
They used to. I remember my first challenge was may 2015 and they participated. I think they just got busy with life.

Serious. I took a break for a few months and went to medium but since next month is really easy I figured I could go for serious. I'm in team Nebuchadnezzar with Berit, Cinthia and Leah.
Plus I figured with all the other challenges I'd be pushing myself to read as much as humanly possible. :P

I sometimes wonder if they exist solely in this group. With all that they do I can't seem to process how they have ANY kind of life much less how they also have time to read. And they read so much too!! O.O

It was fun. I know they are still reading. Just don't participate due to busy schedules. It would be fun to see them participate in the page count challenge for the MMC.

The points system is the same as it was last year for the MMC. We did discuss changing it, but it was easier to add points for buddy reads rather than start adding to the page count.

We do still read, we don't usually get chance during the MMC though will hangman and the non-reading challenge, so we will see how we do this year without them ☺

Because usually we double points for a buddy read, so in theory we'd be doubling the page count instead, which we figured could get a bit messy

200-399 pages = 1 point
400-599 pages = 2 points
600-799 pages = 3 points
800-999 pages = 4 points
1000-1199 pages = 5 points

Are we allowed to use books we started in July but only include the amount of pages we read in August? I'd usually just finish them quickly before starting my plans, but I didn't finish 4, 2 of which wouldn't take long but for The Long Way to a Small, Angry Planet I still have 450 pages left and for The Lies of Locke Lamora I still have over 600. I understand if you say no but I thought I'd ask since I'd lose a lot of time and points :)
