Awww, back to the grind! Wishing you a great year and hopefully you get use to the routine again soon.
August is my I hate life month. I help run our soccer club tournament every year and it consumes all of the my time. I'm happy to say the tournament is finally this weekend and I can't wait for it to be over with, so I can get back to our group and reading!!! The best part is this is my last year doing it. My son hasn't played for the club for a few years, but I've still been the treasurer on the board and I finally got a replacement. Woo Hoo!! I'm so happy to be almost done!

Wow! That's a big commitment -- especially without a kid of the team! I kind of feel your pain. My daughter has had 4 soccer tournaments so far this summer. This weekend is our last one. I'm ready to be done with them...then regular season starts two weeks later. Good luck with the tournament. I hope it goes well!

Agree!! I have 2 in soccer and one in Volleyball...let me tell you, you think hey volleyball is only a 2 month season.....but rhey are the craziest 2 months of your life!!! On top of the other kids soccer.....sports are no joke now a days!!
Reader Problem: I'm a mood reader...so that means that I can't plan on reading anything...if I'm not in the mood for it, I won't read it...which makes it super hard to do challenges. I really was planning on reading
to complete our July/August Challenge (sunglasses on the cover)...and I want to read it but I'm not in the mood...also it hinders me from reading certain library books that I have been on hold FOREVER when the come out (like
). Sometimes I send them back and get on hold AGAIN, because I want to read them, just when they become available, I'm not in the mood for that particular book. Does anyone else experience these issues or am I just crazy?

All the time!!! My mood will completely. Change my tbr order everytime!! I Have several from the library that I am not in the mood for and I feel like if I force myself to read it I wont enjoy it and therefore scue my rating of it...I get it 100%

Public Service Announcement (hehe): Has anyone tried the misadventures series? It's a cute little series written by various authors (that we have heard from before) and each book is a standalone and you need not read them in order! What I like about the series is that they are short, cute, fun romances that my eLibrary has, so when I get in a reading slump, these are my new go to books!

That's so awesome!!! I'm jealous! You guys are going to have SOOO much fun! I went last year with a friend, but sadly am not going to go this year. I was tempted, but my friend couldn't go again and a lot of the authors are the same. I'm sad to miss out on Tarryn Fisher and Jay McLean, though. :(
Just so you know, I was able to see almost every author I wanted last year. I highly recommend following the authors on Facebook and joining their reader groups. They will sometimes have gatherings or pop up signings outside of the scheduled hours. It's a great way to get in a picture or maybe even have your book signed. I also recommend splitting up to get wrist bands for your favorite authors at the beginning of a signing. It really helps. Some authors are much slower and take time with readers (Meghan March, Kim Holden, etc) so they won't see as many. Most are pretty quick, though. Also, I took a book with blank pages to be signed. That way I got authors' signatures even when I didn't have one of their books. This was a great way to meet authors I hadn't read yet.

I'll try to think of any other tips I can and let you know. It can be really overwhelming. I think I saw like 30 authors maybe. I could have seen more, but I was exhausted. I would pick your top ten to start with. They'll give you maps of the signing room and then you can plan out what order you're going to see them. Last time it was easy to grab wrist bands as you went by on the way to other authors.
