Would you rather live in a world without science...or in a world without religion?

I think religion is better as a personal belief and therefore left unshared. Organized religion is the bane of society. It fosters intolerance and violence. Killing in the name of God is the ultimate idiocy! Therefore I prefer a world of science. I've yet to hear of a war started over science.
Religion for me like a cast the one that we get after our leg break. It is useful if you have broken leg but if the leg is fine then it just limits us . So I chose a world with science..

You can also say, like a cast, religion can help, but eventually you need to take it off and walk on your own.

I’ll be right behind you.
I rather live in a world without religion but still believe in one all mighty omnipocent, omnibenevolent, omnipotent GOD, without the religion. A world of science with a relationship with GOD based on respect, love, trust (faith) and common sense.
Religion and Science represent two sides of the same coin. They are both belief systems, yes even your beloved Science. People need belief systems at various stages of their evolution. They need the comfort of religion or the apparent certainty of science. There is nothing inherently wrong in embracing a belief system. Unless you try to enforce that particular belief system on others.People are looking for answers, and both religion and science promise to answer that most fundamental of questions: Why am I here? Or perhaps what is the meaning of my life? Or the purpose of Existence?
Only by their very nature, belief systems are limited. A belief system cannot embrace all of Existence, much less explain it. As long as you are an adherent of a belief system, you too, will be limited. Regardless of how vast a belief system may appear, in truth when you step outside of that particular world, you will see just how narrow is that reality.
One day you must wake up to your true nature. You do so by transcending belief systems, by moving beyond words. But take heed of this caution: Don’t attack belief systems, don’t engage in war with religion or science. Remember, people need belief systems during different stages of their evolution.
How wonderful to drop the weight of belief systems, to remove all the labels hanging around your neck. You will understand your true essence, not through words, not through beliefs, but through the actual experience. Finally, you are free.
To a degree, we can all answer that for ourselves.Say, one of your children gets injured, or gets seriously ill.
Do you go to a faith healer (like Jesus) or do you go to a scientifically trained MD?
I'd rather stay with both around, but just remember that humanity has survived with Religion and without Science for quite a long time. The contrary has not been tried yet, and we don't know the results of such scenario. More important, a religious world has allowed, though through many conflicts (not only belic), Science to flourish. I fear a world where Science would kill Religion for good.
Science doesn't need to kill Religion per se. For many people, Science has already become their religion and as such, has replaced religion as the primary belief system. Science can point to a methodology, to theorems, to proofs even. It's... scientific. Both Science and Religion seem so vast when you are trapped in those worlds. So many endless facets to explore. But when you step back from these worlds, you can see their limitations. Ultimately, Science will attempt to seize control of the world and human destiny. Only Science does not and never will understand Life. And by Life I mean Existence. Science will never comprehend what it is to be fully human in all its many dimensions. If you want to be free, you need to transcend both.
