Rebecca (beccaelf) | 66 comments It isn't by one of the obvious guys (RL Stine, Christopher Pike); but it was during the horror heyday of the early 90's.

Generic group of teens (maybe college age) on spring break/summer vacation. Creepy things happen. Would have read it around 1993-97.

The things I specifically remember:

1) one of the girls is from Ireland (or had been visiting Ireland) tells the group about having escaped a bombing orchestrated by the IRA

2) another girl talks about a time when she and another friend (not part of the group) were out walking one night and got kidnapped by a guy in a van. The van was full of torture/murder stuff and made the girls pick between themselves who got to live/escape and who had to stay/die.

Cover was black with no pictures that I can recall. I think the title was in purple writing.

I think it was a two word title, but Spring Break is just too generic and brings back unwanted teen romance results. Or the ones by Pike/Stine.

Rebecca (beccaelf) | 66 comments No, this was an independent book. And I know I owned The Roommate at the time I bought this book. Thank you for trying.

Rebecca (beccaelf) | 66 comments Ok; after setting some time aside over the weekend; I went through all the Spring Break titled books that came up in a search result.

I first looked at Spring Break by Barbara Steiner , and a Kindle version was available for relatively cheap....I bought it; and quickly decided it was NOT my book.

I have concluded what I'm looking for is
Spring Break (The Nightmare Club, #11) by Nick Baron

I was wrong about the cover and it not being part of a series; but the plot description/publication date lines up with what I remember...Unfortunately; there is no Kindle version for this (there are used copies available, but I don't know if I want to buy it...)
