SOLVED. 90s YA series about two sisters who are always arguing. [s]

A series of at least 2-3 books which I read in the early-mid 90s. The books were about two teenage sisters who were always fighting with each other. I think it was a pretty stereotypical setup where one sister was pretty and popular, and the other was uncool but got good grades. It had a similar vibe to the Sweet Valley books, lots of teen melodrama etc.

I think in one book the sisters had to share a room and divided it with tape down the middle. The series title may have had the word Sisters in it somewhere.

I remember the book covers being bright yellow with colour illustrations of the sisters on them. Pretty sure the author was male, and possibly had a double barrelled last name. Any help appreciated.
