message 78: by Marianna (new)

Marianna (onepieceofmari) | 7 comments A Study in Charlotte has been by far my most reread book ever. I reread a lot of books to be honest and currently the book I've been rereading almost as much has been Dreamology. Only reason why I switched between these two books is because A Study in Charlotte is currently 6 hours away with my best friend who I lent the book to in an effort to get him to start reading again

message 97: by Ann aka Iftcan (new)

Ann aka Iftcan (iftcan) | 194 comments There are a few things that are my "go-to's" when nothing else appeals. The Moon is a Harsh Mistress is one. The Ship Who Sang is another, and in the same series as this book is The Ship Who Searched. That latter book is one that always makes me cry, so I'll read it when I'm feeling depressed because, for some reason reading it, despite the crying seems to then cheer me up. Makes no sense, yes?

And then, I've been re-reading all of the short stories of Viola Grace/Zenina Masters (same author, different pen names) recently. They are quick, easy and usually very cheerful. I've been having a real funk since a concussion the end of February, and they are about what I'm able to concentrate on right now.

message 100: by Darlee (new)

Darlee Hart | 6 comments "Book of a Thousand Days" by Shannon Hale (I reread this at least twice a year. "The Night Circus" by Erin Morgenstern (at least once a year). "The Protector of the Small" series by Tamora Pierce (at least once a year on either audiobook or a hard copy). "Cybele's Secret" by Juliet Marillier (once every 2 years or so). My favorite classics, like "A Christmas Carol", "Heidi", "The Secret Garden", "A Little Princess", etc. (every 2-3 years or so). "Dragon Rider" by Cornelia Funke (at least once every 2 years, either audiobook or hard copy). Badically, I reread my old favorites almost more than I read new books. I have to set a limit for myself just so that I can continue to chip away at my daunting TBR pile.
