Judy Watters (goodreadscomjudywatters) | 10 comments Hi all,
I have a very small publishing company (not trying to get business...mostly word of mouth first time authors) and I print through Ingram Sparks. Lately, I have had author friends come to me with their children's books. I have published a couple of them, but I dislike that Ingram does not do glossy pages or books in landscape. Other than going to an out-of-US country and printing thousands at a time, does anyone know of a US-based printer and distributor who will do the glossy pages and landscape without paying astronomical prices? Thanks

Yup, I am a wanna be, also. I've written several books but it's super hard to shoot through the maze and explode on the other side as----Tada! Famous Author. But hey, YOU might want to check out what I write, it is not exactly the same as anything else you've ever read. (Of course!) My books are available on Amazon. Type in Marilyn Friesen and presto! Several will come up!
How about a book about twins separated at birth. (Two Mothers, Twin Daughters), or A Shining Castle (About the middle ages.) book: Two Mothers, Twin Daughters|35024185] www.marilynshistoricalnovels.com

Scott | 14 comments Greetings from the brighter side. My birth name is Scott. My pen is ScotchyJ I write every day in a notebook that I keep with me at all times. I've been doing it for as long as I can remember & it's what makes me unique. I have written 2 books that were published by a company that has since gone belly up but that's okay. Life goes on and all good writers know how to adjust. My stories are based in a city where it rains constantly and there's a detective with a fantastic sense for adventure that's no stranger to the ladies.

John (jegenes) | 7 comments Hi, I'm John. Have been on GR for a few years now, though I can't say I've been very active a lot of the time. I enjoy getting reviews from others and oftentimes read those books. Sadly, I've been a bit lax about uploading my own reviews. Life gets in the way, I reckon.

I'm about to self publish a book about my 1974 horseback ride, coast to coast from Calif. to Virginia, with my horse, Gizmo. It's titled, "Man & Horse: The Long Ride Across America", and will be available via CreateSpace, Amazon, Kindle, etc. I'll post a request for reviewers in the appropriate thread here.

I appreciate the love of books that inhabits this place. Thanks for that. --je

Rolland Love | 21 comments Review by Tom Gilbert, History Teacher
"Rolland Love is an excellent storyteller. He writes about his real life experiences and he writes from the heart. Funny, too, like Mark Twain. This is not just my personal opinion. I have 4 years of 5th grade students who agree from reading Rolland's fine work that he's one of the best.

Death was no stranger to Rolland growing up in a remote area of the Ozark Mountains. These scary novels are based on real life experience but they all end well one reason why they are a favorite of schools. The stories are enjoyed by all ages especially YA’s. Reviews Blue Hole http://tinyurl.com/hc5kkt4 and sequel River’s Edge http://tinyurl.com/huevet4 Even kids who don't like to read do like to read Love’s work. His latest release a coming of age memoir is a favorite of young and old. Available in print and eBook. The Reviews tell the story of how good this YA work is. http://tinyurl.com/h64jnx2 Love’s books have racked up over 1,000 five star reviews. http://tinyurl.com/y8kakux7

Lorna Wilson (blackbutterflylorna) | 24 comments Hello everyone,
My name is Lorna Jackie Wilson. My pen name is ButterflyLornaJ. As an indie author, I have four books on Amazon & Goodreads. The genres are poetry and fiction. At this time, my book of primary focus is Black Butterfly: The Journey - The Victory. Black Butterfly is a book of poetry. Yet, this poetry is not traditional, as it often touches on topics that speak to the dark side of life. For you see, as a former foster child, I saw and experienced things that I could not speak of, much less acknowledge, especially in the 1970's. Yet, today, I am an advocate for youth; this poetry speaks to the silence of trauma, while providing hope where it doesn't appear to exist. To that end, reviews are sincerely appreciated. Kindle Unlimited customers can read free at: https://www.amazon.com/Black-Butterfl...

message 85: by Lloyd (new)

Lloyd Free | 16 comments Confessions of a Day Trader A new Genre #FACT AS FICTION.
A truly gripping and gritty financial thriller bringing to life the psychology of trading the markets; the greed and fear produced by the stockmarket highs and lows; the Market Maker and Bankster's maniipulation of stock prices; the shocking crashes of 2000, 2001 (9/11), and 2008; the betrayal of friends in the quest for obscene wealth; relentless obsession leading to madness; and white collar crimes committed by everyday investors trying to stay afloat and the scamming Wall Street Elites in the casino-crazy world of Wall Street corruption.

PLEASE CHECK IT OUT AND I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR OPINION. ESPECIALLY A REVIEW. Given the financial stakes TODAY, the stock market girations that affect all our pocketbooks, its subject is most relevent.

message 88: by Walter (last edited Feb 25, 2018 11:48AM) (new)

Walter Danley (walterdanley) | 8 comments Hello & Hi to All in the Group;
I'm Walter and I write thrillers and mystery novels.
I guess in this audience that doesn't make me unique, at all. What it does do is lump me in with those that need reviews for their work.
If you have some morbid interest in how I spent the past half century, GR has shamlessly siphoned scintillating specifics & posted them in the form of my bio.
In fact, I have two needy offspring needing knowledgeable, fair & balanced reviews.
INSIDE MOVES is on GR and has suffered from my poorly planned launch. Although it has earned some high praise, it needs many more posting to attract attention. Let me know your availability and I'll get you the MS ASAP together with my undying admiration.
On the other hand, BLASTED PAST is set to launch May 15th and is currently up on Amazon and others for preorder. Wouldn't it be grand to have a few dozen 5 stars to hit launch day? Please consider reviewing a book that defies having a genre. I've called the novel a historical western with a fantasy twist. But it is so much more; the romance of two people from different centuries, the growth of a 54-year-old man who finds himself in an impossible circumstance, and the juxtaposition of life in the 21st as opposed with that of the 19th.
As the tagline says, "When your THEN becomes NOW, You have a BLASTED PAST."
The novel and its humble author would be pleased and honored to receive your review of BLASTED PAST.

Nupur Tustin (nupurtustin) | 3 comments I've been meaning to post up an intro for some time, but have been busy working on my third novel. I write historical mysteries set in eighteenth-century Austria with Joseph Haydn as the protagonist.

The novels are a blend of Stephanie Barron's Jane Austen series and Emily Brightwell's Mrs. Jeffries Mysteries with their downstairs dynamic. In other words, they are a blend of historical and cozy.

The second in the series, Aria to Death, involves music authentication and the lost operas of Monteverdi. This is a new release, and I'd love to have more reviews of the work. It's available in both EPUB and Mobi formats. If you're interested in joining my review team, please email me via the contact form on my web site: http://ntustin.com

You'll also find more information on my work there. And if you're interested in Haydn's sleuthing skills, do check out this short story recently published in kings' River Life Magazine: http://kingsriverlife.com/02/10/annas...
