July 2017 Dusty Bookshelf Challenge
Runell, you've got a nice list of books there. I'll pick:
which I want to read and
which I loved as your picks with a bonus of
since it's one of my favourite fantasy series and from searching your shelves it looks like you haven't read it. If I'm wrong, let me know and I can pick something else

Hi Dani,
I am glad you chose [bookcover:The Sun Is Also a Star|28763485] and
for me. I seriously couldn't figure out what to read next, and these should be great! The Night Circus is on my TBR list, but I'll have to see if I can squeeze it in this month, too. :) I cannot wait to start reading!! Thank you!

Thanks to everyone for getting your picks in early! At this point, everyone should have two or three books to read, though not all original posts have been updated. Please make sure to have those updated before the end of the month to avoid the infraction list! Have a great month of reading!

Just finished
This was tough to read, it's about a character suffering from a mental illness and ends up hurting himself and getting involved in drugs and alcohol. it was very raw, very gritty, but very powerful (just warning for triggers!)
This month has been tough. I belong to a couple book clubs on Litsy and have been reading those selections first. I hope to get to at least Anna before the month is done!
I finished one of my books, Kushiel's Dart, and I loved it!!! Going to start my next one (Interview with a vampire) today or tomorrow.

I don't know, Chelle. Ezi didn't ask me to run it for her for August, and I had surgery earlier this month, so I'm just now getting to be able to be at the computer for long periods of time. Would probably be a good idea to PM her with this question, as these are really her challenges, and I just run them for her from time to time.

Thanks!
I finished
and gave it 4 stars. It's a cute cozy mystery with an older MC and a cupcake shop. Good thing I love it cause I bought books 1-10 in a box set. :-)
And finished my other pick:
. I enjoyed this one. Giving it 3.5 Stars. Now let's see if I can get to those bonus picks!

Rachel, so glad you enjoyed both books! They're some of my all-time favourites, so I was hoping you'd like them. :)
I actually managed to read both the picks from my list and my recommencation this month -
ended up being my favourite among the books I read for DB this time, so thanks again for the necessary push to get me started on that series, Sunshine!

I read all three of the books selected for me.
7/4/17 **** I love a good sport themed romance
7/16/17 **** I rounded up to four, my least favorite, of the 3

.
Well, I managed to get one read this month! It's a small improvement from last month.
The Courier by Gerald Brandt - 7/31/17
I really liked the pace of this dystopian novel. I liked the idea of of 2140 California as one giant megalopolis with several underground levels and off-planet colonies. I also liked the main character, Kris, who is the ultimate young survivor. I gave it four stars and am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.
