The love story of Jen Scott and Cash McCoy starts in Feeling Hot. It is very important to mention because this book features one of the hottest threesomes ever.

In Flash Fire, we are three years later, and they are still madly in love with each other.

Jen is more and more successful as a photographer, and now she gets an assignment to Honduras that finally could provide the well-deserved attention for her work.

As a Navy SEAL, Cash knows all about danger – he lives and breathes it on a daily basis. So far he had no idea how his girlfriend felt whenever he was on a mission. But now he gets to know this feeling up close and personal. To say that he hates it is a strong understatement. Feeling helpless is killing him.

Jen is determined to accept the job, despite the very obvious and present danger in the area. Cash is furious and tries everything to hold her back – with no avail.
It was an emotion Cash wasn’t familiar with. He was always in charge. Always in control of every situation. He saved lives for a living, for fuck’s sake.
But he couldn’t save Jen.
Sweet Jesus, he couldn’t save her.

Of course, there are not many surprises in the storyline and it is rather predictable in most parts, but it kept me turning the pages. The story is exciting with the perfect amount of conflict and tension, and without sappiness or overdramatization.

I always loved Jen and Cash together, and they don’t disappoint here either. I’d more than welcome a series of shorties with updates about the characters from the previous books. Especially Dylan, Aidan and Claire…

Amazing story! Recommended!

Navy SEAL Cash McCoy and his Jen – part b

We met Cash and Jen in Feeling Hot and this continuation of their story happens 3 years after they got together.
Cash is about to propose, but Jen has other plans.
Jen needs to visit a danger location for her job as a photographer. Cash is worried and furious with her. He knows about danger and he does not want her to go.

You can find the story in the collection:
“Dangerous Passions: 12 Tales of Contemporary Sexy Hot Alpha Heroes - Cops, Navy SEALs, Marines, Military, FBI Agents, Secret Agents, Police Captains, Spies, and More.”
And it can be considered a standalone – although I recommend to read Feeling Hot first.

Action and romance.

More Cash? Yes please!

This was a short novella that lets us know exactly where everyone in the original series is and gives us an intense moment between Cash and Jen.

Cash McCoy, badass Navy SEAL and resident good ol' boy of San Diego, is ready to propose to his girlfriend, Jen. Despite her brother being his LT, and her father being the most intimidating man on the planet, he spent the last three years loving her. With the help his friends, fellow SEALs Dylan and Seth, he picks out the most gorgeous ring, prepared to propose when he gets home.

Jen, however, has other plans. With her career at its peak, she's finally get the chance she's been waiting for - to go international and take pictures of places and people that matter. Knowing Cash won't be happy with her, she butters him up first, offering him a little something something before dropping the bond.

He takes the bait, knowing full well what she's doing, before asking her what she's done. When she tells him her plans, he doesn't respond the way she hopes. In fact, he flat out tells her she's not going, starting a fight that neither of them wants to own up to.

Before either of them know it, Jenn is off to Central America, taking photos of a war zone while Cash is stationed back at home.

Nothing will go wrong though, right?

The cliches were here in spades - it was easy from the start to tell that Cash wouldn't like her going to a war zone and that something would happen to her there. The military aspect was more present here than any of the other books, but the drama was a little eye-rolling.

However, I loved Cash and loved seeing all the boys. We got to see bits of Claire, still happy with her relationship with Dylan and Aiden. We got to see Miranda and the twins. We learned that Carson and Holly are content with their beautiful baby boy.

I had more fun reading about the couples than about Jen's situation, who I thought was rather pigheaded and stupid to go there. Not to mention, she didn't even discuss it with Cash. It was more of - hey, I'm doing this. You don't like it? Well, suck an egg.

description

However, when they weren't fighting, their relationship was very sweet. Oh Cash - the sensitive one. Adorable.

This one was completely predictable, but it didn't matter. I knew Jen was going to go, knew Cash was going to pitch a fit, knew something was going to happen and Jen would be in trouble. Yet when that happened to Jen I found myself in tears.

This was so good. It was wonderful to get back with the boys and see how they were doing.

This was short but so much happened. It was nice to see Jen in action and get a bit more meat to a story. It was also fun to see Cash or any of the boys know what it is like for the women when the men are gone.

I do hope the author continues to write stories like these just so we can catch up with them.

This is a great little novella! Definite alpa-male protectiveness, a strong willed female and sparks are flying, when Jen wants to go take photos in war torn Honduras and Cash says no...yeah not going to fly. So will Cash ever get to pop the question? Or will this be end of them? Or the end of Jen?
This is a great novella that has you not being able to put the book down. Love the passion and characters. Fun read!!
