The Assassin and the Desert: (view spoiler)[ I wondered if they would be punished for saving the slaves and now I see that they were. She said that the Desert was horrible in one of the previous books, but it seems like she was being dramatic I understand it’s hot but this master is better than Arobynn. Ansel seemed like such a good friend in the beginning and the story about her father and. sister made me teary since I understood the pain on a more personal level, but it was sad seeing her stab Celaena in the back. The Assassin and the Empire: (view spoiler)[ Honestly I’m not surprised that Arobynn was the one who betrayed her. I figured it was him. I feel so bad for her because of all the things she had to go through. I definitely feel her pain on losing someone you love, it’s never an easy thing to handle. I’m interested in seeing if she’ll ever find out that Arobynn betrayed her and what she’s gonna do. Also wasn’t gloriella the poison she was unsure about for the poison test in the first book? Finished: Overall the book was good at giving us Celaena’s backstory and giving us more info on her character and things that have shaped her into who she is.
