The Assassin and the Healer chapter 4: (view spoiler)[I really like Yerene and while she may not have Celaena's assassin nature, she's definitely a fighter with hard skin like her mother. I kinda wonder if Celaena was a healer or something or if her mother was killed in a similar manner to Yerene's. Also, I think the third person point of view is especially effective in this story as it shows both girls' different personalities while highlighting their similarities. (hide spoiler)]

The Assassin and the Desert chapter 1: (view spoiler)[I couldn't do it--the sand, the sweat, and no water. The whole idea of a bunch of assassins living in a mostly silent comune just seems so weird to me. I honestly don't know what to think of the master. Is he actually good? (hide spoiler)]

At first, I was deadest on her as the traitor, but after the revelation I don't know what to think at all. I'm sure she had something similar happen to her, but instead of letting it consume her, she became a better person. I feel so bad Mikhail died because despite what I said earlier, I think he might have truly liked Ansel. I'm definitely curious to see if these assassins appear in later books. (hide spoiler)]

Also, I don't believe for one second that Arobynn's actually sorry for anything he did to Celaena more than he's sorry for her betrayal. Something smells really fishy about this mission he wants her to take as I've a hard time believing he'd a change of heart so quickly. (hide spoiler)]

Why waiste all that gold on one girl? Honestly, to trick Celaena like that was foolish on his part in my opinion. Also, he knew those papers had information that would look like the noble was trying to bribe those abolitionists and that Celaena would take the bate, but I hope karma comes back at him with a vengeance. The Assassin and the Empire chapter 1: (view spoiler)[I'm still reeling from the betrayal Celaena faced by Arobynn. I'm so happy she and Sam got the heck out of there and are living together. What's up with the "after" part? Sam's not there which makes me really worried. (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 6 (view spoiler)[ Ansel must feel a great connection for her to share all of that with Celaena; I think Celaena was shocked that Ansel told her all of that. Also the mention of the giant spiders made me think of Harry Potter. haha. I hope Celaena takes a trip to go kill the spider for that Merchant. That would make for a great adventure i think. Celaena is also totally all about Sam. She mentions "missing" him so much. (hide spoiler)]

You can tell Ansel really did care about Celaena, since she sent her away before the fight. You really saw a good side of Celaena as well, she might act tough and rough but deep down she is very caring. (hide spoiler)]

That Celaena and Sam were sent to Rolfe to collect slaves, instead of money as she thought, was horrible. That Arobynn wants that make me not like him, and it'll take a lot to change that. (hide spoiler)]
