My next 5 are books I have on my "own-it" shelf that'll help towards one challenge or another:

Jennifer,

My next five are in preparation for my favorite time of the year: Christmas!

Jennifer,

Thanks, Agnieszka -- this one has the advantage of catching me up in that series!

It was a difficult choice, but I loved the contrast of the winter outside and the warmth inside of this one!
A Christmas Mystery

Merry Christmas reading!
I want to go Scandinavian with one of these:

Thank you! I look forward to this one :-)

Thank you! It looks "cool"!

Jennifer,
For you I'm choosing the "The Dead Ringer" book.
It has such an intriguing shade of red on the cover!

Oh good, i was hoping to get to that this month!

Since my iPad's too old for the Kindle app I have to put all my previous picks on the back burner for a while and read now my paper books or ebooks instead. My next five are:

Thank you!
So you can get reading, I pick for you "Unter dem Sternenhimmel." I like the traditional cover of the Baldacci book. I chose this one, though, because of the interesting contrast of the beauty of the nature, with the desolation of the cabin. I almost didn't even see it in the picture!

Since my ..."
Thank you!
And don't forget to post your next five.

My next five:

Whiplash (FBI #14), by Catherine Coulter, finished 11/20 ★★★★

My Next Five:

Yay so happy to help you out :-)

My Next Five:

I'm glad you liked it!
This time I am picking Das Geschenk for the sheer beauty of the cover! I am so impressed that you are bilingual!

Thank you! And it was great timing. I borrowed this book from my brother-in-law and should read it before I see him for Christams :-)
I'm gald as well you liked your book!
Beeing born in Poland but living most of my life in Germany made it very easy to be fluent in two languages though I notice more and more Polish isn't going as easy as I'd like anymore :-(

And it's a great story, too, imo :) I read it years ago and loved it, even though it's not at all like Baldacci's other books.

I started today

My Next Five:

Agnieszka, I'm picking

My next five:

I finished my Grisham book

The Warsaw Protocol (Cotton Malone #15), by Steve Berry, finished 12/31 ★★★★★

My next five choices :

Thanks for the new pick, Barbara!
Barbara, I'm picking

My next five:

Thanks for the pick. This is only the 3rd book in the series, and at the rate you read, it wouldn't take you long to get caught up :)

I'm so glad you liked it. I found out most of the books in this series were translated and the last translated is first in series (chronologically) - the one set in Memphis so I hope it will be soon available for libraries so I can look into this series and hope I'll like it as much as you do :-)
I plan to read my book within the next couple of days so I'm back for the next one. Jennifer I pick for you:

My next five (not time sensitive books I want read this month/series I want continue):

I hope so too, on both counts :) It is one of my favorite series, probably because the author includes a lot of history in his books. At the end of the book, he has a section where he explains what really happened, what he made up, how he changed things a bit to make the story flow better, and anything else that's relevant.

Thanks for the pick. This is only the 3rd book in the series, and..."
And I think of you as Barb so no idea why I put the whole name there. Maybe I was channeling your mother.

My next five (not time sensitive books I want read this month/series I want continue):

As much as she sometimes drives me nuts, there are worse people you could channel :)

You’re lucky. Mine’s been gone 11 years, dad eight, and not a day goes by... Not one.

The Book of Candlelight (Secret, Book & Scone Society #3), by Ellery Adams, finished 1/15 ★★★.5

It probably wasn't really a ho-hum 3-star rating, but I have had so many things going on in real life lately that I couldn't focus on it. I'd put it down for a few days, then when I picked it up again I'd have lost the storyline. *sigh* Not the book's fault, just bad timing.
