message 890: by Barb (new)

Barb | 1895 comments I haven't yet, Connie, so thank you :) I like the covers of most of the 'regular' books in the series - the prequel covers don't fit the pattern of having three similar items lined up in a column on the cover :)

message 892: by Barb (new)

Barb | 1895 comments I read the first book, then put the series on hold until one of the ladies in my local book group chose one of the prequel books for us to read. That reminded me to get back to the series, but first I read all three prequel books. It feels like I should be deeper into the series than I actually am!

Jennifer (jhaltenburger) Barb, Our Lady Of Darkness (Sister Fidelma, #10) by Peter Tremayne caught my eye.

I finished Royal Sisters Queen Elizabeth II and Princess Margaret by Anne Edwards and liked it -- I'm always fascinated by watching characters navigate a culture that has a very rigid rule structure. It's why I like royals, the Victorian era, and books about outlaws -- they all have an internal social structure that is deadly if you don't know the rules. (You know, it's ok to kill a guy if he steals your horse but not if he steals your money..... gotta love the old west...)
