There are four stories between Small Favor and this one in Side Jobs. I just finished the last one today, so I'm ready.
The first and last were kinda silly? But the middle two were pretty good. The third one dealt with the Carpenter house after what happened to Michael. And the second was narrated by delicious Thomas. mmm.

There are 49 chapters. The last one is pretty long, like always.
Maybe 10 a day?

I'm on ch. 8. The skinwalker was intense. It was also interesting reading about it because Briggs references them, but I didn't know much about them. I am bummed about Kirby. He was in one of the short stories between Small Favor and this one, so it was like Butcher reminded you of him just so he could kill him. :(

Who do you guys think is behind it?

I wish Harry would spend some time working on fixing this thing for Thomas and Justine. I mean, srsly wizard. Do something useful.

That being said, I like Harry more in this book. So far...

I thought the same thing about the skin walker. It is sad that Dresden's friends are dropping like flies. Not sure who is behind the skinwalker.

Lee. My full name is Roanleigh but that is a mouth full so I cut it short.

I had to read ahead because I didn't think I was going to be able to read today. I agree about Molly. I know she is not a kid but Dresden keeps putting her responsible as if she were an adult. I don't trust Morgan so I would never leave Molly, an apprentice with growing power. I am on the fence about Luccio.

Luccio would be a perfect choice especially since she is cozying up to Dresden. No one would suspect her and she has plenty power.

It's strange seeing Harry and Morgan work together. No one really knows Harry well if he thinks he has an ulterior motive for helping him.

Nobody wants to know Harry. He has had a bad reputation since he was young and they still see him as that person.

Politics are messed up. So much backstabbing and always on the verge of war with everyone.

I think they want companionship and of course sex but that's all it is. I don't trust Luccio.

I read through 32 last night. I asked the question because of the way Lara was looking at them...made me curious.

That was an interesting situation. After further thought Lara would not have been able to do that to Harry if they were truly in love.

Unless you're talking about something further along in the book, Lara never actually touched either of them, which is the way love would affect her. And then the curious look she gave them when Harry was Luccio into the car...made me curious to know what she was thinking.

Could very well be jealousy. Seeing that Harry is taking care of Luccio (for some reason it through me off every time he calls her Anastasia), helping her when she is hurt...I'm sure no one takes care of Lara like that.

Definitely not! After Lara got a taste of him in the last book, I know she wants more.

Harry is always protective over the people he cares about but extremely protect over women and children.

I'm so saaad. I also kind of loved it.
But sad.

Luccio I sorta saw coming. Not precisely, but a little. Peabody was a surprise, although I kept getting irritated with the descriptions of ink stained fingers, so then I felt dumb for not seeing it coming.

I don't understand how the frame job was meant to be for Luccio though, since Morgan was the one who received all the money in his account? Like, I feel I might have missed something there?

I think Molly sensed something when no one else did. Morgan is hiding something and trying to protect Luccio.

I am so sad about Thomas. I was surprised about Peabody. I so thought it was going to be someone else. I guess he made Peabody uninteresting so we wouldn't see it coming.

I read all of the short stories except for the one that come after Changes. I liked the one Thomas narrated because we got into his head a little bit. It makes what happened at the end of Turn Coat that much worse.
