Oh that's right! Did you move it back to revolver? Because, it will give us another bonus for character.

Next time I do a spreadsheet, I'll incorporate the names of the books. I wanted to keep it simple, but it's too simple and things get lost in the translation.

message 302: by Lanelle (new)

Lanelle | 4026 comments Um, I don't think I put it back in Revolver. I don't remember if it was one of the few that I tried to record myself.

message 303: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments Did you read another book (other than Sister's Keeper) for revolver?

message 304: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments I did a search in the messages, and you read Faint and Far Away for revolver. So it looks like the spreadsheet has you down for that one book for revolver, and Sister's Keeper was moved to Purple, giving you three purples (and the 15 points - 5 for each).

That's super! Glad we got that sorted. We have a third bonus for Characters.

Amen :)

message 306: by Lanelle (new)

Lanelle | 4026 comments I just finished Circus Galacticus for the Rope category. I'll see if I can find a short book for the Lead Pipe task.

message 307: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments Glad you all got that sorted :-) Ginal hours now people. Read my beauties!

message 308: by Marie (UK) (new)

Marie (UK) (mazza1) | 2292 comments how long until finish I might get The Lady and the Peacock: The Life of Aung San Suu Kyi of Burma finished

It should work for study both Aung San Suu and her husband are scholars for long periods

she also loves to read so could use for library

message 309: by Sam (new)

Sam (ecowitch) | 2354 comments I've added my last two reads to the reporting thread and the spreadsheet. With only a few hours to go and my chores staking up I don't think I'll be getting another one in.

Good work everyone though and if there is a gap that needs filling I'm happy to give it a try!

message 310: by Lanelle (new)

Lanelle | 4026 comments I've finished my last book for the Toppler. It was for the Lead Pipe task.

This Toppler has been fun. We did a great job, and I found a good book in the process. Did anyone else come across a new favorite?

message 311: by Marie (UK) (new)

Marie (UK) (mazza1) | 2292 comments i have finished the lady and the peacock off to the reporting thread

message 312: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments There is just over 3 hours to go until the end. If anyone wants to cram another read in, just read want you want to read regardless of the task.

message 313: by Sarah (last edited Jun 10, 2017 05:54AM) (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments @Marie - we finish at noon EST so make sure you convert right to your time zone.

once i got over the sexual explicitness i really enjoyed The Girl in 6E

and have ordered next in series from the library

message 315: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I enjoyed both my print books - The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry was a 4 star and Snow Flower and the Secret Fan was a 5 star. My audio book Survivor started really well but the second half of the book wasn't so good for me so i ended up giving it 3 stars although it's probably a 3.5.

message 316: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I'm not going to be around for the last few hours of the toppler but will pop in later. Good job team.

That's a good testimonial :)

I loved Circus Mirandus by Cassie Beasley that I found for the Rope task. It's a childrens' book, but it was so good!

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments Lanelle wrote: "Did anyone else come across a new favorite? ..."

I read Beartown right at the beginning of the toppler and gave it my first 5 stars of 2017. I was beginning to think I would have a dry year, so was excited to start off the toppler with such a great read.

message 319: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments I just finished updating the spreadsheet. Marie finished a read for Library, which gave us another 20 bonus points for the second complete round of the Rooms category.

The current score (with 2 hours left in the toppler) is:

505 points
54 books read

We're doing great, Team!

Awesome job team!

message 321: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I really enjoyed this toppler and our team was fab! Well done guys. We still to do the final totting up of scores on the spreadsheet. I'm on my phone otherwise I would have done it.

message 322: by Janice, Moderator (last edited Jun 10, 2017 09:54AM) (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments Woohoo! We are currently sitting at:

540 points
57 books read

We've had 3 rounds of Characters, 3 rounds of Weapons, 2 rounds of Rooms. We received the one time bonus for completing all tasks (though we completed them twice).

Great job everyone!

message 323: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments We did well. :-) There is still a "X" next to Amanda for library so there might be an extra 5 points potentially.

It would be good if everyone checked that they have reported all there reads correctly.

Nice one Janice for sorting out the reporting/spreadsheet and stepping in when I wasn't around at the beginning with organising etc.

message 324: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I think it's going to be a close call for 1st and 2nd from the looks of it. I have a feeling we might just miss out on winning.

message 325: by Jannene (new)

I enjoyed this toppler and this team. We really worked together which was what made it so good.

Lanelle | 4026 comments Sarah wrote: "It would be good if everyone checked that they have reported all there reads correctly."

I've looked at the spreadsheet. My numbers are correct, but not where I expect them to be. I only read 2 blue books, and the spreadsheet says I read 3. And the spreadsheet shows me having read 1 Rope book, when I have read 2.

message 328: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments Yes working in a team is great. I know we were in teams in past topplers but this time we had to work together more and be organised. Great fun. And you guys were easy to organise. :-)

Hmm. I wonder if Janice has moved things around to maximise points.

They were likely shuffled around a bit to allow for bonuses.

ETA - oops, I see you've already come to that conclusion. I know there were a few instances where we talked about alternative tasks.

message 334: by Lanelle (last edited Jun 10, 2017 03:56PM) (new)

Lanelle | 4026 comments Janice and Sarah, thank you for all your hard work.
You made this Toppler fun and easy.

message 335: by Amanda (Mandy) (new)

Amanda (Mandy) | 762 comments Sorry I didn't finish my final book. However, I really did enjoy this toppler. It was very organized.

message 336: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments No need to apologize. All that matters is that you had fun. :)

message 337: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments No worries Amanda. Thanks Lanelle. It was indeed fun.

message 338: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments The final score is;

555 points
57 books read

It's a good thing I decided to check all the formulas. In two places, the formulas had been overwritten, and reflected only one book in the task instead of all the books.

Sarah, since you are the leader of the team, the honours go to you to report the score to Kristie.

Woot!

message 339: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments Woohoo. I have just messaged Kristie our results. Thanks Janice.

Laura (Lclwags) (lclwags) | 698 comments Team two gets the win! Woo hoo! Congrats everyone!

Thanks for motivating me to read 3 books in a week. That's definitely a new record for this slow reader. :)

message 343: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments That's great that you obtained a PB Laura! My PB was achieved in a toppler too. I don't seem to be able to manage that at any other time though. I guess a toppler changes your priorities.

message 344: by Marie (UK) (new)

I think part of it is because you don't want to let your teammates down.

message 347: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments I tend to read shorter books during a toppler so that I can squeeze more in. This toppler was a little different because we got more points for longer books, so I read one over 400 pages.
