Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments Where is everyone? I hope you're all so busy reading that you haven't come up for some air.

I'm taking a short lunch break and then I'll get back to it. I've got one row of my quilt done too. I will take a longer break from that because sewing is aggravating my shoulder.

Jannene | 3124 comments I am 34% through book 1.

message 158: by Lanelle (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments Because there are more tasks required for the rooms than the other categories, we should probably consider doing multiple reads of the smaller categories. We have the rooms covered at least once for the complete sweep bonus.

So, if you are looking to double or triple up on books, maybe look at Character and Weapons.

We still only have one book committed for Dagger/Knife, Lead Pipe, and Rope.

Of course, since colour of covers is relatively easy to gopher for, we could do several sets of Characters.

Marie, apparently you reported in Team 4's thread instead of our thread. Each team has it's own reporting thread.

Jannene | 3124 comments I finished Plum Pudding Murder (Hannah Swensen, #12) by Joanne Fluke by Joanne Fluke which can be yellow, kitchen, and/or dagger knife. It has recipes in the book, the main character owns the "Cookie Jar, and it has a yellow cover. I put it under dagger/knife but we can move it if needed.

message 180: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments Let's leave it under dagger/knife for now, Jannene.

Two days in and we've read 8 books for 50 points. Doing well, Teamies.

message 181: by Jannene (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments I am going to start The Drifter (Peter Ash, #1) by Nicholas Petrie . It looks like the MC helps a friend do repairs on the house for lead pipe.

message 182: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments It sounds interesting, Jannene. I went house hunting last week and we were greeted by a big ginormous dog at the first house. Thankfully he was uber-friendly and just wanted to play.

message 183: by Jannene (new)

Jannene | 3124 comments I couldn't update the sheet to show what task that I was reading. Could someone update lead pipe under me?

message 184: by Amanda (Mandy) (new)

Amanda (Mandy) | 762 comments I have finished my first book for the Hall category. I will head over to the reporting thread. I will start my next one, but need to go bed soon so not sure how far I will get. Good job everyone!

It's really good thanks Janice, I've only got a little over 200 pages left already! You can certainly see he inherits his writing style from his dad, which is lucky since I am a massive fan.

message 187: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I'm about a quarter of the way through my first book which is for the library task. No idea how I'm going to fair with the others. But I think White and conservatory are covered any way just in case things go tits up for me.

message 188: by Marie (UK) (new)

Marie (UK) (mazza1) | 2295 comments Finished The Girl in 6E
red cover
will go and report it done

message 189: by Marie (UK) (new)

Marie (UK) (mazza1) | 2295 comments I have to read something for another challenge Station Eleven and because it is due back at library soon - i currently have 20 out of a possible 21 loans from the library and others waiting to be collected so must read some before i get to the book for family (which i will get to this week i promise)

It could fit actress / lounge if that has not already been read for

it might fit other things as I go along

Your library lets you have 21 books out at a time!? I'm jealous, mine only allows 15!

message 192: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I started my audiobook for the white task. And it's slow narration so i'm able to speed it up.

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments Jannene wrote: "I couldn't update the sheet to show what task that I was reading. Could someone update lead pipe under me?"

Jannene, what book did you read for lead pipe? I see you have completed Knife & Revolver. Is there a mistake on the spreadsheet? I don't see anything in the reporting thread for lead pipe from you either.

ETA, I think you just want someone to mark that you're reading it? Done

Marie, you keep reporting in Team 4's thread. Each team has it's own reporting thread. Our's is here.

message 195: by Janice, Moderator (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments Good morning, everyone.

We have 75 points, and 12 books read so far.

We just need the yellow book to complete the Character section and get 20 bonus points!

Please check the spreadsheet and make sure the books you have read have been recorded properly. I keep mixing Janenne and Annette up in my head. I better go have a cup of coffee and clear out the sleep dust that's still in there.

Great job so far!

message 196: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 18550 comments I'm a quarter way through my audiobook now too. It is one seriously messed up book. I love it! So I feel better about my progress now.

Well done team! It will be exciting when we complete out first section!

message 197: by Janice, Moderator (last edited Jun 05, 2017 06:36AM) (new)

Janice (jamasc) | 59970 comments I started The Long Hard Road Out of Hell last night. Already I can see how Marilyn Manson became such an out-there performance artist. He had one twisted childhood.

I will start The Strange and Beautiful Sorrows of Ava Lavender later today.

When I finish those two books, I'll be able to start plugging in holes on the spreadsheet with other books.

message 198: by Lanelle (new)

Lanelle | 4027 comments I've finished my yellow book. The character section is completed. Off to the reporting thread.
