Katherine and Grant's romance was sweet. I admired Katherine for assuming the responsibility of raising her younger siblings at such a young age. Grant's family was awesome and I liked how they embraced Katherine and her siblings so quickly. I'm looking forward to Tucker's story in the next book.

Review: I love this series! I could easily read 20 more books without hesitation. The audiobook narrator isn't the best but he's slowly grown on me after 9 books. Whyborne still continues to be one of my favorite characters ever. I agree with you, Susan. I loved that part too! He actually bought himself a new desk! Lol.

Review:
Grimalkin is the fearsome witch assassin who has no mercy in her for the trying and difficult things she has survived through all these year. I love Grimalkin, she's so bad-ass! She has the Fiends severed head in her possession and she's taking it far away from the rest of his body to give Tom, Alice and the Spook enough time to find a way to bind the Fiend for good. As she runs far away with the monsters head, the Fiend's minions and followers go after Grim and she eagerly slays those who dare challenge her, and its amazing! And its gruesome and horrific and I love it!
Grim has made it her lifetime ambition to destroy the Fiend, avenging the brutal murder of her son. Grimalkin is the assassin of the Malkin clan but at the moment she's on side of good at this point in the series. She is fast, super strong and she also has a code of honor and never resorts to trickery. Grim wants to win fairly and go up against powerful enemy's. She believes only a weak person go's after a person who is weaker than you. She prefers her opponent to be a challenge so when she wins it feels like an accomplishment. And I liked Grimalkin's apprentice, Thorne.
Yes!!!!! Horror, disgusting, brutal, and bloody murder show!

Review: I've been reading these books with my oldest. We'll read the book then watch the corresponding Netflix episodes. So far the series has been pretty entertaining. I was not happy that the narrator was changed. Tim Curry narrated the first 2 books and I love him. Now the author is doing the narration. Not a huge fan of it. Hopefully it'll grow on me.

Review:
Lucy and Edmund, with their dreadful cousin Eustace, get magically pulled into a painting of a ship at sea. That ship is the Dawn Treader, and on board is Caspian, King of Narnia. This one is a bit boring, but its still enjoyable. Some parts were entertaining whilst other parts were dull. I would have preferred more storytelling though - its an adventure story. One problem I found is that the children rarely solve their own problems and they make bad choices and don't have consequences for those actions.

I have no idea why I put off reading this series for so long. I enjoy Sookie's adventures and she meets some interesting characters along the way in this one. I was not a fan of Bill before this book so I was glad he was gone for a good portion of it. I like Eric so I am pulling for him and Sookie to get together. I have not watched the TV show yet but I plan to at some point to see how it compares to the books.

This book was a good ending to the series. I love Lucy's character and how she deals with all of the drama in her life. The mystery was complex and well done. I had no idea who was behind the kidnappings and murder. The ending was perfect and I especially liked how things wrapped up for the McDaniel kid.
