I think this is a debut author and I am willing to give a little leeway. I will try this author again and hope for some improvements. The book was funny at times, but too repetitive. Every incident was replayed with all the members of the family, the boyfriends, and workmates. Funny once, funny separately, but too much over and over again.
The insta-love was just a bit too fast in my opinion. Based on Sietta's history, it doesn't make sense to me that he isn't psychologically damaged. I think he either needed to be less abused, or more damaged. The premise of the book is that of the twins, Taylor is an asshole, and Clay is the nice guy. Over and over again Taylor is called an asshole (by himself as well)...I don't know why. There wasn't anything in the book that would lead me to this opinion. Clay was nice and maybe Taylor wasn't as nice, but he wasn't even a jerk, so this part of the plot didn't work for me.
I loved the twins' relationship which was a much bigger part of the book that the romance.
I think fans of Charlie Cochet's THIRDS series and Alexa Land's Firsts and Forever series will like this book.

Review:
The book was short and it didn't seem like it had much going on throughout the story. I found the characters boring. The book is all over the place, sometimes there was too much/little information was given. I was looking for a zombie book but its not really one, the only connection to zombies is that they freed on the living. There is virus that has wiped out most of the world's population, and obviously those left are fighting for survival. I found reading the book quite a chore to get through. I really thought I would enjoy this book. :/

Week #1 - Sunday

Falling Into Bed with a Duke

Review: There were a lot of things I enjoyed about this story. I liked that the heroine is considered plain. I liked that even though the heroine went to the club specifically to lose her virginity she and the hero didn't jump right into sex. They let that sexual tension simmer a bit. I liked that even though we knew the big reveal that the hero is actually broke would cause drama with the heroine the author didn't stretch that shit out. The heroine found out and became outraged and called off the engagement but the hero immediately went to work trying to figure out a way to prove his love to her. There wasn't an unnecessarily long and drawn out time apart. So I gave this one a strong 4 stars.

I enjoyed this installment in the Sweet Magnolias series. Lynn is going through a bitter divorce and learning how to be a single mom. I admire the way she dealt with everything, especially working three jobs. Mitch is a recent widower after his wife was killed by a drunk driver. He had a crush on Lynn when they were growing up in Serenity so it was sweet to see them fall in love. I did not like Lynn's ex-husband, Ed, for the way he treated her and I was not really surprised when his secret came out. It was nice to catch up with the "Sweet Magnolias" in this one. This series has been a delight to read and I hope the next book is not the last.

Review: First of all I hate cliffhangers. HATE THEM. So I almost gave this book 2 stars because of that. Plus the MCs didn't spend a lot of time together in the story. The majority of the book revolved around the families of the MCs and their issues. I enjoyed the fighting scenes in the story. They were pretty intense. But I just hated that nothing was resolved. Everything was left open ended for the set up of book 2. I doubt I'll ever read the second book so I guess I'll just have to suck it up that I'll never get answers for all the questions.

The Sullivan series is becoming one of my favorites. I enjoyed how the dogs brought Zach and Heather together. It was cute how they wanted to be together as much as Zach and Heather by the end. I love how all of the siblings are nosy and giving advice even when it is not wanted. And it is fun to catch up with all of the other couples from previous books too. Looking forward to Ryan's story in the next book.

The series, set in the 1950's, stars a gay private investigator who is one the richest men in the US. He only takes cases he is interested in. This book was delightful. Two mysteries that were not very complex, but good enough. The secondary characters were plentiful and were a large part of my enjoyment. I am so excited to continue this series.

Review:
I had to cut my review down a lot because I ranted way too much on this review lolz
Tom Ward is the seventh son of the seventh son which I've always like in the series but I've seen more in this book than the others is that are dear Tom doesn't change much in these books. At time he feels like he goes back a step or two and he forgets things he has previously learns. You have been previously studying under another Spook for more than two years now, you should know how the basic go down by now. What the hell dude, is being around Alice for so long has made you incapable to work anything out on your own and stand on your own two feet. Fine just take my hand and I'll take you to where you need to be.
Mr. Gregory, you are wasted on this apprentice, he's to busy making goo-goo-eyes at Alice. Is this really Tom Ward from the previous book - you used to be a bad-ass man. And one of my favourite messed up, outcast, bad-ass characters - Bill Arkwright is a cool character. I feel for him greatly and his way of protecting his home is just a work of genius. And his dogs are awesome and I love his ghosts, and how he ended up in the army is understandable.
And Grimalkin, you have finally been put in the main books!! Yes she is so cool. So much love for this character. And I've always found Alice weird/creepy, she's just acts weird in this book and I'm not surprised.

In book 7, Oliver and Langham are kidnapped as a result of Langham's undercover assignment. In a surprising twist, the duo DO NOT save the day, but are dependent on Croft, who betrays his boss. I have enjoyed every book in this series and am perplexed that it isn't more widely read.

Review: Super cute. The writing style took a little bit to get used to. Ari wasn't an easy person to follow inside his head. And he was a little bit of a dick to Dante sometimes. Dante never let that deter him though. I really adored Dante. I just wish Ari would have figured out his feelings on his own rather than having them pointed out to him by his parents. Plus an epilogue would have gone a long way. I want to know where the boys go from here!

This one was told from three different points of view and I liked how it all worked together. I admired Lexi for reaching out to find Brian and Gray so she could get to know them. Lexi and Roman made a great couple and it was sweet that Roman wanted to change from his bad boy reputation for her. Brian and Georgia's relationship was fun too. Gray was not very likeable in this one with the way she treated Roman but she redeemed herself by the end. Looking forward to Max's brother, Lucas' story in the next one.

Review:
My favourite part about this book is the main characters prospective and obtaining items to survive, anything from food to planks of wood and metal to reinforce their home. And zombie activity, yes! I like how simple and state forward in its writing and I like the blog style from a guy named Josh.
The book focuses on a community of survivors and how they work together, and their struggles. The endeavors in this book is between the zombies takeover and the survival group stressing at each other, and arguing who will lead the team. And the consent threat with those humans on the outside that they come in contact with. It is a brutal picture of what lies at the heart of humanity which fascinates me. The difficult decisions and then seeing those decisions either fail or work, and when they backfired it changes what you believe to be true of the world.
Josh is your average Sci-Fi, video games nerd that I identified with. The author really makes you care about what's going on and the people involved, and although you may think you know what's coming up, you have no idea. I like the unknown aspect and wanting your favourite characters to survive and do well.

I didn't like it. I was irritated right from the start by the "middle-aged" MC, who was 34. 34 is not middle-aged. The MCs broke up after one date. Isn't this a 6th grade thing? Who breaks up after one date? You just decide not to go on another date. There is no break up. I kind of liked Templeton, didn't like Jesse at all. Templeton turning into a "Web activist" was weird and the epilogue was too much. I did like the cover models which I suspect is why I bought this book.
