I understand where Berit is coming from. The team could have just decided to start a bunch of books on the 31st and gotten a lot of points right off the bat especially if it was a BR.
I was just really surprised that you could get points for books you had started last month, it really didn't make any sense to me, still really doesn't, but I do understand it being a courtesy, but it still is not fair, even though I hate to use that word.... but I do understand why we wouldn't get page points if a book doesn't fit a keyword, it just doesn't make sense why it would matter when we started the book, we shouldn't get page points either way, just my opinion😉

The problem is, we either get people moaning that books started prior to June don't count at all, or people moaning that they do count. We can't win either way.
Totally understand that! I wasn't trying to complain, I was just really actually very surprised, but it's all good😄
I know that you mentioned we can read a book in the month of June in hopes of that we get a wildcard or a word come up that fits the book. Can I finish the book, do the review etc and then if it comes up later in the month post it in the reviews for points? I'm just about to finish a book for a seperate challenge but don't have a wildcard or any of the words yet, but if they do come up I'd love to be able to use it.
Can I join a buddy read after I've already submitted my review?

@adriana I asked before about starting a book before getting a word, but wanted to clarify that it could have been finished before even getting a word. I have a book that could count later for words or as a wildcard but it's also due for a challenge so I need to post my review. Does that make sense? I just don't want to hold off on a review etc until I get a word as I can use it for another challenge this week

Are books with "Lives" in the title okay for "Life" as it is the plural form? c:

I just looked and as far as I can tell she has not posted a review, am I missing something? Entirely possible....
Check message 20. She didn't post the keyword and I told her so. It was a wildcard book so it didn't count since we already filled it up.

Hi!! :) I have a question. What if there's an ongoing buddy read for a certain book i am about to read and it started a few days ago? can I still join late and will it be counted as buddy read and there will be additional points? Or for it to be counted as buddy read I must start reading the book on the date the buddy read thread started?

As long as you're within 2 weeks of either the start date or the last comment on the thread, then the buddy read will count ☺

I agree that you shouldn't be able to read just any book and get points, because... that doesn't make sense at all with this challenge.
But it doesn't make sense either that books from last month are getting points for this months challenge.
