It's hard to pick for you with all the 5-star books (by my reckoning, at least) you have on your list. But I'm going to give you a break from the usual angsty JAFF and choose Chaos Comes to Longbourn: A Pride and Prejudice Variation. Enjoy!

That is a book I bought soon after it came out; read the first pages; discovered Darcy engaged to LYDIA!!! and gave up on it completely. I've read the reviews and everyone loved it and still I just push it to the back of the pile.
I've got my mandate now -- bravely on to see how Darcy escapes this marriage!
Oh, the interactions between Darcy and clueless Lydia are really, really humorous. I think you'll enjoy it as you get into it! The writing, as with all of her books, is splendid.
Kirk, I know quite a few musicians who wouldn't list Mozart tops on their favorites list, so you're not THAT alone! However, pretty much everyone agrees that if Mozart lived in our times, he would definitely be a rock and roller, not a classical musician, and that's part of why I love him! Bach would still be writing serious music for orchestras, no matter what era he lived in, I think.I've got a ton of unread books too, but they're all on my Kindle. The one you chose is literally the only JAFF I own that's a physical book. It's not available as an ebook, and the title intrigued me enough to chase it down. Again, thanks for picking it!

Erika, my apologies! Once again I got dropped off this thread by Goodreads before the matches were announced, and totally forgot to look for it! For you I’d like to pick Fair Winds and Homeward Sail, by a new fave author of mine, Sherwood Smith. I just downloaded it onto my Kindle yesterday, so if I get the chance I’ll read it this month too, and we can compare notes.And Lenora, thank you for your pick of The Jane Austen Project! That one really got my attention recently, and I’m sure I’ll have fun with it.

Victoria... I've finished my June 'Someone-else-pick-it-for-me' choice. Thank you for picking those for me. That is 2 off my TBR pile. They were really dusty and I like that there were now vacant spots on my pile. Unfortunately, I immediately filled them with new books that I came across. Oh man, that is so not cool. One step forward and two or three steps back. Although, I am looking forward to the new choices... so it's a win-win situation. Thanks again for participating and helping me out.
J W my daughter and I brought some books to the charity shop on Friday as I was just so running out of space. Unfortunately we both came out with armfuls of more!! So that purpose was well and truly defeated :):)
Teresa-I'm laughing at the image of you dropping off loads of books and heaving a huge sigh of contentment,secure,for a little while,in the knowledge that you'd lots of space on your bookshelves........if only you and your daughter hadn't listened to the voices of those other books,calling out to you,looking for a new home......!!! We've all been there!! Guess we just have to accept that it's part of what makes us book lovers!!!

Teresa, I'm with Mary, I can see that picture in my head so clearly because it has been me also. We have a program here called 'Friends of the Library' where people donate things [books, DVDs, etc.] and then they have several sales throughout the year. The money is then used toward literacy programs through the local Library. I've make myself NOT go because I can't resist the books section. I just have to admit... I'm weak.
For Christmas, my brother gave me this huge bag. He said he was at the library and saw these ladies walking out with their arms loaded with books and he thought of me. Now, when I go to the Library, I have a bag in which I can carry my books. Wasn't that thoughtful?
It doesn't help my ever climbing TBR pile; however, it saves my arms. LOL!!

The guys here say they couldn't be listening to all the sobbing if I didn't get them :):) Because these two occasions in my life are so close, my husband randomly buys me one or two during the year as well. Seventh Heaven doesn't even begin to describe it!!

Even though I have most of my recent buys on my Kindle...it too has many books I have not read. Plus I have all those older JAFF paperback books which I read but never posted a review on and so plan to reread them...some day. I can also be distracted if a book is not mesmerizing me to pick up another book so I have 2 going at once.

I treated myself to a lovely purple (my favourite colour) Pride and Prejudice bag that I bring to work everyday with me. I love it!

I have a bag from the Annual Meeting in NYC which is large and with a zipper so nothing falls out.

I have found purple goes very well with my graying and/or white hair. Many people have agreed with that.

Well, I do love Bach too, Kirk, and even got to sing in two choruses performing his gorgeous German Requiem in 2012 and 2015. But I admit that I love Mozart even more. I've had Jane Austen and Mozart: Classical Equilibrium in Fiction and Music sitting on my bookshelf- an actual hardcover book!- for a couple of months but just haven't gotten to it. Looks like I'll get to it in June! Great choice!
