I feel like I'm torn about tamlin. What he did in acomaf was pathetic, letting her waste away, but I didn't hate him then. And then in the end of acomaf when he joined with hybern I still couldn't hate him because I don't think he did it out of hate- he did it out of love for her. That doesn't make it ok but I'm torn now over whether I WANT her to have revenge on him

Tamlin has always been a weird character for me, in the sense that I never really grasped his personality.
In the first book I felt he left too much unsaid and I couldn't really trust him. Then comes the whole explanation about the curse and I still don't find myself attached to him. THEN it's all the events under the Mountain and him being a total whimp. I'm so sorry but during Amarantha's final rage rave all he does is get on his knees and beg. I mean, C'mon, are you seriously telling me he's nothing without his magic?! No strong will? Nothing? Meh 😕
Then comes book two and don't even get me started. bye Felicia Hahaha 😆

I honestly think we as the reader have never gotten to know who tamlin is. During acotar, tamlin was limited to everything because of amarantha, and in acomaf tamlin's actions I think were all due to PTSD and he needed help but never got it. And now, I think even HE knows what he's doing is wrong, but he doesn't know what to do anymore. I think he's broken, and we just never got to see his true self before the curse or anything.
I think tamlin is/was good, but broken and confused and just very messed up in the head
