More the merrier! & I certainly didn't get many read in the last challenge.
Just read the rules in message 1 & message 13.

Yeah what Carol said :) It doesn't matter how many books you get through. I'll add you to the list anyway and you can pick three books when you're ready.

Oooh there's such a diverse selection of reads in our book pool - looking forward to getting stuck in come June 1st. Which one to read first?!

My three picks are (and apologies if these are repeats, I don't remember them appearing on previous lists):

Nemesis
Faceless
The Last Winter of Dani Lancing
I haven't taken part before so apologies if these have been in the pools before! I can pick different books if need be, these are just some of the ones on my TBR pile.
Hi Allie! I've done the last few book pools and don't recognise your three book choices so I'll go ahead and add them (when I'm next at my laptop). Thanks for joining in :)

Here's my picks, I hope they're OK :-)
The Thorn Birds

A man called Ove

My name is Memory

I don't know how I missed your message Sharlene! I've added you to the list and look forward to seeing what books you pick :)
Hope you and the little one are doing well.

Ok so I think I'm up to date with everyone who has joined up so far and given their book selections. Feel free to check messages 2 and 3 to make sure and let me know if I've missed anyone or any books.
Great choices Kristen :) I'll add then to the book pool when I'm home from a wee weekend break tomorrow :)
Awesome Katherine - great to have you joining us. Let me know what your three book choices are when you've had a chance to think about it :)

Ah, one day predictive text will be the downfall of humankind!

Completed unrelated Erica, but are you related to Christine Mangin? Its an unusual name, so, you know what NZ's like, I thought I'd ask! I know Christine through working at Antique Alley. She's probably known me since I was a toddler!

It is an unusual name I've only met a few others in my lifetime. I don't think I'm related to a Christine - I think my line of Mangins in NZ is pretty small and most of the name has been married out. But always nice to hear more of us out there :)

Ah, well, she's incredibly cool! Works primarily as a freelance prop buyer. Completely no nonsense. I love her!

Dead to Me by Lesley Pearse
Nineteen Minutes by Jodi Picoult
The Widow by Fiona Barton

Here are my 3:
1) The Passage, Justin Cronin
2) Heavenly Hirani' s School of Laughing Yoga, Sarah-Kate Lynch
3) The Dress, Kate Kerrigan
These books have been on my shelves for a while now so maybe this will motivate me to read them.
Hey Mariana - I'm glad you checked your messages too :)
Great to have more awesome books to add to the pool.

Sheena and Sharlene - you can still pick your three books. Make sure you let me know before the 31st so I can add them to the pool :)

The Passage is one of my all time favs!!! I really loved it and have read all three in the series, the first two twice. I hope you like it. :-)

I lurk and follow what is going on but I haven't joined in as I wouldn't get far with the reading challenge. I do read a lot but try to stick to mostly NZ writers or books in my genre (historical fiction Victorian - mine are loosely based on immigrants to NZ) rather than books everyone has read. My other issue is time. Right now I'm finishing off my 5th novel and editing and the book cover design is taking all my time. I think there's another novel buzzing around waiting to escape too.
So good luck everyone and enjoy your reading. You never know, one day I might have time on my hands (I do travel a lot too but then I read e-books)
As a humble opinion on Jenny Pattrick - I didn't enjoy Landings as much as some of her other ones.
Have fun
Vicky Adin

Last time round, someone created a document with a list of the books which I found really helpful.
So I have created another one for myself for this challenge, but thought it may be helpful to some of you too?
Let me know if I have missed any or if they're any mistakes :-)

Only one more day before the Book Pool reading challenge kicks off - what's everyone planning to read first?
I've grabbed a copy of The Lonely Hearts Hotel from the library (this one was longlisted for the Baileys Women's Prize for Fiction. I've read some others from the long and short list and really enjoyed them so looking forward to this!)
Then I'm gonna get stuck into one of my picks - Landings by Jenny Pattrick.

I'm planning to start with Landings - it is sitting at the library waiting for me already, along with The Long Earth. Catch 22 is also near the top of the list... I just need to finish my current books first!!!

Thanks, I was just wondering if there was another handy list here- appreciate you taking the time to do that!
I still have Mariana's copy of Catch-22. It's been a few years & I have moved home twice. Who knows which box it's in?! and I still haven't read it. You'll get it back Mariana before we're 80.

I've read The Rules of Backyard Cricket and really enjoyed it so if you read it would love to hear what you think.
Catch 22 has been sitting in my TBR pile for ages so I think I need to give it a go, and Harry Quebert was a Mothers Day present from my kids on the recommendation of our local bookshop :)
