The Grisha: Shadow and Bone - I read half way through the first book and it just didn't stick unfortunately and I was forcing myself to like it due to what people said about this book
Air Awakens- Could not find myself sticking to this series as wellso I gave up this one
Sorcerers Ring A Grant of Arms- This was my first meeting with fantasy and I thought I liked it but overtime I realised I was being stubborn with this series and its problems so I had to let it go
Seraphina- I just stopped I may come back to it when I feel like it but for now I'll put it here since that's a maybe
An Ember in the Ashes- Another one I just stopped halfway and I was liking it but I don't think I will pick it up to be honest
Way of shadows is in the radars but I'll wait to finish the book to see how I feel
Magician- A mixture of lack of interest due to spending too much time reading as well as the changes in character which gave me a bad taste in the second half may pick it up but who knows
Dragon Prince- Just Stopped and it seems I am not having luck with 80s fantasy which is disappointing
Pandora's Star- Had a great start and got pretty far but then the multiple subplots burned me out of it and had to put it away probably not going to pick it up again
Okay make sure we got everything we need walking stick, footwear. other essentials is all here and checked of the list and now we set off.
Enjoy your quest, make sure you pack some bread, hard cheese and a flagon of watered wine for the road

Just realised I haven't got all the books in the incomplete list 😂😂 that's what happens if you do your list in the middle of the night

For the record, magician master was my least favorite of the entire 20+ book saga. Silverthorn (book 3) was awesome!!

Its actually funny because I didn't finish this yet I read and enjoyed the dragonbone chair which is the longest book I had read 😂😂
Haha that's good to know! And Dragonbone is loooong - I was too intimidated to start it because of how many other reads I have going.

I had DNF'ed Dragon prince due to lack of interest and I was pretty far into it I don't know I may have a problem with 80's fantasy novels hopefully cos it would be a bit worrying if it was a reading problem
However I had started The Crown tower and that was bloody brilliant and will be reading Age of Myth as well as Malice this week
End of update
Our updates are the same, I'm too lazy to edit my posts until I've done like 4 or 5 books :). Good job!
I wouldn't get too hung up on DNF'ing a single book. I DNF quite a bit if not books then series. I just 2*'d the Dragonbone Chair and while I finished the book I won't continue the series.

Your tracker looks great Ahdam. I like how you've put an explanation besides the series you have abandoned.

Thanks Kayleigh I had heard about these books quite awhile ago and I mainly chose them because I wanted to widen my horizons for female characters which isn't that many as well as take a break from the adult nitty gritty stuff and I've heard this story had a Joan of arc thing as well as a possible romance which should be a quick and interesting read
I love Song of the Lioness. I'm showing my age now, but I read this series in the late 1980's when I was twelve!

To be honest my only childhood books were horrid Henry and Captain underpants (cannot wait for the film)
Although thinking back I enjoyed some of the books I read during my English GCSE (Of mice and men and boy in the striped pyjamas)

To be honest I only started getting into fantasy last year as well and I remember researching the best books and chose not to buy them because of how intimidating they were (Name of the Wind, Final Empire) so I went into my local Waterstones and bought books like Name of the Wind, Dresden Files (Still need to read it) and furies of Calderon (my fave) and it was a huge start for me
Who knows maybe in a couple years time I'll be going through books like you do for breakfast
I think it's wonderful you've developed such a passion for books at the stage in life you're at. Think of how many great experiences you'll have starting so early!
Not that age matters, as my Mother says "every year that I'm above the dirt is a good year!"
Not that age matters, as my Mother says "every year that I'm above the dirt is a good year!"

Might as well write this but June had been a great month for me and while I had some problems last month I had managed to read 4 books either in buddy reads or on my own which I'm proud of especially with the work I did in my life
Book series started
Faithful and the fallen- Valour
Legends of the first empire-Age of Swords
Ryiria Chronicles- The Rose and the Thorn
Brodys ghost- Brody's Ghost, Volume 2
Abandoned
Dragon Prince

Will be finishing Storm front soon after some delay and will start Way of Kings sometime this weekend

This has been a great month for me reading wise since I've managed to read a lot of the stuff I wanted such as Eye of the World, Ready Player One, Storm Front as well as some graphic novels and maybe fifth season if I can get my head around that WTF prologue and the emperors blade which is a bit unlikely and the stone of farewell which is definitely not gonna be finished by the end of the month
Overall including graphic novels I have read 7 novels and minus the graphic novels I have read 3 and maybe another if I can get to it eventually
although I'm disappointed I put down Way of kings I will return to it on a later date

I noticed on your list that we've got a lot of the same series going on. If you want to buddy read Stone of Farewell, I'll drop whatever I'm reading to do so, I loved that book and can't wait to get back to it. I'm also looking forward to the second book of demon cycle The Desert Spear, and Niki already said that she'd join me(us?) for the third. So if you read the first we can do that one too. Let me know what your schedule looks like so we can get some dates on these books! I'll be reading both The Ghost Brigades and Royal Assassin on the 5th of August, so for me, late August would be better.

Also for desert spear I'm game for that as well but it may need to be a bit later as well especially with stone of farewell which is HUGE
I too will be reading royal assassin so see you for the buddy read 😁👍🏽👍🏽😂

You're lucky that I have so many good books to read right now, October seems to be a long ways away to wait for such an amazing book. But I'm down. Don't worry about the size, good books practically read themselves. I think I read Wise Man's Fear in 6 days, and it's got 1100 pages. I'll be starting Royal Assassin late (probably around the 9th-payday!) so I'll see you then for it!

On a separate not I've not been in any mood to read certain book either because of my fear of over booking or just not not feeling to continue like I'm not ready to read this book kind of feeling so right now I'm putting own books looking for the one which feel right to read if that makes sense hahaha

I've finally read Dune and I loved it and I watched the film which isn't as good and felt rushed (however I've heard of talks about a new dune film coming and it will be directed by the guy who did the arrival, sicario and blade runner 2 so EXCITED)
Also read the inquisition can't wait for Battlemage
Right now I'm reading pandoras star and I like it but I'm taking a couple of days of to recover from it
Also I will be reading Valour early because I wont be able to read It anytime in September as well as shadow of what was lost soon cant wait for that
Pretty decent month although the behemoth that is pandoras star is taking a lot out of me right now haha
