I just finished Calling Invisible Women Oooh what I let down...the book just ended! The author failed (IMO)to conclude the story and really leaves the reader hanging. I was a little disappointed since I think the author could have done so much more with this story line.

Fiona (Titch) wrote: "Babs, I am sorry to hear that x"That's okay...there is either going to be another book...or maybe the author wanted to point out that it's not the destination but rather the journey that's important.

First, I hate books that are such a let down. You expect so much and then....Second, I hate to not finish a book but sometimes it best....

I agree...I kind of feel guilty if I start a book and never finish it...sometimes I'll start one and decide it's theme just doesn't suit my mood or frame of mind and then put it down...to be picked up at a later date. But then again their are some books that just can't be finished!

Hey guys! Long time, no talk to! (I've been lurking, just lazy.) Anyway, I had a lot of stuff going on and wasn't reading as much, but I'm back to my reading self again! I'm currently listening to Child 44, and reading Fall of Giants and A Suitable Boy. I'm not sure where I'll go next... maybe the third book in the Game of Thrones series... or maybe Norwegian Wood... I guess only time will tell! :)

I just finished Winter Gardenand what a great story. I throughly enjoyed this book, heart warming as well as heart wrenching.

Even if it takes me months, I don't like to leave books unfinished. I've been around lurking but not chatting these last few months - working night shift has me reading more, but clearly participating less! Don't want that to be the case :-) I'm currently reading The Waste Lands, and am about to start The Inn at Rose Harbor for my work book club. Not sure where I'll go after that!

Finally. FINALLY i started a new book I am now reading In the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's BerlinIn the Garden of Beasts: Love, Terror, and an American Family in Hitler's Berlin. It is for my work book club. I also had to take a break from my chucky Outlander books even though I really don't want to but I need to lol

I have finished Bared to You - Sylvia Day and also read Selling My Soul: A Short Story - Rae Northlight. Now I am trying to get into The Bride Stripped Bare - Nikki Gemmell.

Gave up on The Bride Stripped Bare - Nikki Gemmell. But has found a delicious book and it's The Way You Look Tonight - Claire Matthews.

This morning I finished The Way You Look Tonight - Claire Matthews, which was a good short story Chick Lit. Now I have finally decided to read Design on a Crime - Ginny Aiken.
I have decided to do an A-Z of Authors over the next 12 months, plus add other books into the mix. Meaning reading at least 2 letters a month if possible.

Well by finishing Murder Half-Baked which I didn't especially like or would I recommend I did complete my goal of 27 books for the year. My first goal was 60 books which I didn't complete and now my second goal of 27 is completed with months to go. Did I mention that when I started I was not much of a reader that may explain my highs and lows. :-) Don't know what is next but I think I will tackle a thousand pager since I have all this extra time, my son suggests the The Wise Man's Fear. Hope you all are having a great September.

Left my book in another town and won't be able to get it until next week! Had to start another book so I decided to go with A Reliable Wife

LOL this is my second year trying to do an A-Z list. The first year I didn't make it. This year I've done better but unfortunately most of the books I've wanted to read have authors with name ending in M's or S's...but I have a couple of month to go and I just might make it.

Last night I finished Design on a Crime - Ginny Aiken and now I thinking of reading Hostile Witness - Rebecca Forster.

I kind of liked it, but I also kind of hated it because it's so restricting, and it's so hard to find a big selection of books for certain letters. I almost considered doing it this year, but decided to just spend a year reading what I want. That being said, I think I might do a travel the world challenge, and see how many countries I can visit. I've found myself accidentally doing it this year, and it's fun. :)I'm not going to pressure myself by saying I have to visit 50 countries, but maybe just keep track and see where all I go. :)
oh I like that idea...it would be interesting to either see how many countries I could visit or how many states in the US I could discover...either by author from that state or a book that's locale is in that state...I'll consider that for 2013..right now I have to make it through 2012

And in some books, you're in multiple countries! :)

This morning whilst I laid in bath I finished Hostile Witness - Rebecca Forster, which was not as good as I had expected at the beginning, but near the end it started getting better. Now I am about to embark on Poison Study - Maria V. Snyder which has been recommended to me.

I read Poison Study and have Magic Study on my Nook.
I left my book in my hubby's car this weekend so of course I started another. I am now reading Jay's Journal which is a fast read and a YA. ALso one on my A-Z list. I am not really feeling Blue Nude but am hoping once I find it I can go thru it fairly quick

Donna, what did you think of

? I've heard others say that this was the best book out of the trilogy.

Finished Poison Study - Maria V. Snyder this morning in the bath and have just finished a review of Morningside - Ashley Madau. Now I'm going to dip into Succubus Revealed - Richelle Mead as well as reading Reflected in You - Sylvia Day.

Just picked up Voyager by Diana Gabaldon because it was on my A-Z list and it was the only book I had in my office. PLUS I am going on a long train ride this weekend so I may need a chunker!

Finished Reflected in You - Sylvia Day today and then maybe start Bad Blood: A Vampire Thriller - J.R. Rain

Had a death in the family so my reading was very limited. I also left my book in Montauk on a mini vacation I took before all the above started so I am waiting for my friend to mail it back to me.
My doorman gave me a book so I have started that in waiting for the arrival of my other book. SO I have just started Norwegian Wood
